Could not close the deal. I was a bit disappointed, I was expecting him to submit Randy and he could not do it, freaking Randy is still tough as nails for a 46 year old.
that's the thing about fighting a 46yr old. You win, people will say mneh you beat a 46yr old. You lose and people will say mneh, you lost to a 46yr old. lol
I haven't seen the fight yet but i'm downloading right now.

Yes, Brew I did say that. It was just as I thought though, if the fight was taken to the ground, Nogs would have control of the fight. But Randy did do a good job defending his ground game....oops you did not watch the fight yet, my bad.

Read the results,
sounded boring except I wanna see the one punch ko of Maia and Jardine getting rocked.
All the others were decisions.

Marquardt's KO of Maia was almost an exact replica of Fedor's KO of Arvlovski.
And as Kolohe mentioned the Techno Viking's glass jaw was evident. I think a left hook dropped Jardine to the ground (didn't seem to be in too much trouble) then Silva got on top and all it took was 2 or 3 good shots of GNP to put him to sleep.

I'm trying to watch the Couture/Nog fight now on MMAlinker but the stream keeps freezing up.
I never knew this but Rogan stated that Randy has never been submitted in the Octagon.

Nog looked very good in the octagon. His standup was quick, accurate, and crisp. Randy just proved that he could probably continue fighting until he's 50 LOL. Keith "the ape" Jardine needs to take a real good look at his fighting stance because he NEVER has his hands up. Thiago Silva's hands are too strong to have your hands down the whole fight. My prediction for the Maia/Nate fight was true. I felt like Nate was too big, too strong, and Maia's standup doesn't stand a chance against Nate's.
Not too bad of a card actually.

no..... too soon. I say give Nog a card with Check Kongo then a rematch with frank mir and the winner can face lesnar if he's still the champ

ok so i just saw the fight between nog & couture and I have to say NOgueira is pretty much done. He didn't avoid any punches that were headed at his face. He'd get owned by someone quicker and stronger than Couture (which is about 80%) of the heavy weight class

Pfft, that's been his whole career. Eat punches, then submit the other guy. He's like a Brazilian Homer Simpson.
