Honestly I'm on Danas side with the Mighty Mouse situation. He is taking the Floyd Mayweather route. Easiest fights possible. He is about to break the greatest record in UFC and wants to do it against Borg instead of Dillashaw? He knows Dillashaw is a risk. Have some balls Mighty Mouse. If you claim you are a better champion than Silva and GSP than prove it, Silva went up to 205 on numerous occasions and challenged himself, GSP wiped out tremendous opposition. Only person DJ has beat that I believe is a legitimate opponent is Dodson. Benevidaz and Cejudo are alright.
If DJ beats Borg and breaks Silva's record, I don't make much of it.
If he beats Dillashaw, I will give him the respect he deserves as arguably the greatest champ in UFC history.

My theory is it had to do with him wanting to display his boxing skills, after claiming he wanted to try his hand in boxing following Conor's steps. This fight could've been completely different if Aldo utilized his leg kicks Max would've been much more hesitant in his striking and more defensive. Aldo should've known that was the obvious gameplay but chose a different route.![]()
Seems like Aldo always finds a way to beat himself. When he fights a perfectly executed strategy he is undefeated.
I'm pretty sure Holloway was definitely expecting his leg kicks, noticed how Holloway kept changing his stance. Holloway has one of the best counter jabs in his class, if Aldo would've over committed with his leg kicks it would've been the same 1-2 combo IMO. Holloway's game was in and out - stick and move right off the bat, he wasn't gonna be a statue and let Aldo utilize his leg kicks.
Holloway proved a lot with this win. He will be champ for a long time
Honestly, I think it's gonna be real tough for Holloway to hang onto his belt, featherweight division has a good roster in the top 10. People on Sherdog say Frankie Edgar will take out Holloway, Chad Mendes is no slouch and how about avenging your loss against Dennis Bermudez.
I think he beats them all. His reach against Edgar will be the difference as long as he uses it right
It would definitely be an interesting fight and one to watch since Holloway keeps calling him out. You can be sure that Edgar will use his wrestling on Holloway, but Holloway is no slouch on the ground, sure he's only a purple belt to Edgar's Black but BJJ is a lot different when you're being punched in the face. Holloway pulls off some very wicked submissions so I don't see Edgar finishing off Holloway with GnP.
Just like the Aldo vs. Holloway fight, I'm calling Holloway with a win over Frankie Edgar via TKO.

Pettis was a blue belt when he subbed the black belt Benson Henderson in their 2nd fight. So yeah, belt color doesn't always mean you'll get murked if it goes to the ground, anyone can get caught.

Yep. Dana is the biggest of douches but MM is being a b***h. He constantly talks about how he's the greatest but the greatest wouldn't turn down fights especially when it's in his court. They're not asking MM to move up, it's on TJ to make weight.
His excuses are all b******t too. Not a single one makes any sense.
He cries about not getting PPV points but look at the damn people he's fighting. No one gives a s**t about any of them. He finally gets a fight that can have a serious draw but turns it down.
Why worry about TJs weight? It's not his job to worry about that. Why state that as a reason to not take the fight?
Why's he so worried about how Ray Borg will feel? Other then Ray Borgs mom, no one is excited to see that fight.
Bottom line is DJ is scared. He's dancing around that fact but everyone other then his tiny fan base sees it. Even if the Ray Borg fight happens and he wins and breaks the record, not many will put him up there with Silva/GSP/etc. Hell crown himself just the way he's already doing but no one is going to respect him the way people respect silva.

pound for pound DJ is the best ever. maybe it's his stature that gives him his edge at his weight class. but if you shrink Anderson to 5'3 135 and make him fight DJ he (Anderson) gets destroyed. If you grow DJ to 6'2 185 he still destroys Anderson. If he ever loses at 135 i'm pretty sure it will be via a lucky punch or kick or submission. There's is noone who is more sound than DJ at 135.
I wouldn't pay to watch DJ. Heck I the only event I'll ever pay for is the centennial series (100 and 200). But I love his fights. I've never seen a fighter so extraordinarily quick and technical who can fight anywhere and can pull moves out his ass so fast it'll make your head spin. Don't forget his cardio -- he can fight 10 rounds without missing a beat.
