Nah not at all. Many of the greatest fighters are too prideful to turn down fights. The ufc should've known better than to offer him this. But who knows, if he wins that would be huge.
Disagree. Many of the top fighters have turned down fights. GSP turned down Anderson and Anderson has turned down Jones to name a couple. When you are at the top of the heap you wield more power in picking and choosing matchups that tend to be more beneficial to you.
Why didn't Penn turn down the Yair fight?
BJ claimed Yair Asked for that fight but Yair claims he didn't. BJ also said he wanted that 3rd belt, so my guess he saw a prospect with a 5 fight win streak as a good stepping stone towards positioning himself as either the next challenger for the title or a number 1 contenders fight.
