Rory just has this way of making fights boring. Not all of them obviously. Lawler 1 was meh. Ellenburger was meh. I was at the Woodley fight it wasn't that great. Saffediene before the finish was boring. He's very good at what he does. Something about his patient style f**ks with his opponents output levels. Guys who are exciting strikers don't pull the trigger as much vs him.

That fight sucked. Wonderboy is frikkin Lyoto Machida 2.0.
Rory has has a lot of boring fights like that. Even his fight with Lawler was boring.
I can think of a lot of adjectives to describe that fight but boring isn't anywhere near that list. That was a primal war of a fight. If high level bjj is your thing I could see where it may not be your cup of tea but it seems like any fan of the UFC could acknowledge that those two dudes gave everything in that cage and beat the bloody hell out of each other along the way.
The 1st fight. Apologies for not adding that in there when I posted.
Ah gotcha, tbh I haven't even seen the first fight. But besides his last fight with Lawler I agree that Rory's style doesn't make for very exciting fights.

Cerrone looked incredible......total domination
I agree, he looks fantastic at 170. In a post fight interview he said he only has to cut 5 pounds, which i imagine lets him be a little fresher for the fight. His striking power seems to have transferred over as well, where with some guys it falls off when they move up i.e: Conny Mac.
Cerrone is one of my favorite fighters and I really think hes poised to make a run in the welterweight division.
I dont think Conors power got worse, its more so that Nate has a tremendous chin
Fair point, Nate has one of the sturdiest chins in the fight game. I was just trying to use an example of somebody that was starching dudes at a lower weight class and then wasn't able to do that in a heavier division, Conor probably wasn't the best choice to use as an example of that though.
i went to a seminar with Uriah Faber a couple months ago he kinda touched up on this. what he said was Conor is good and baiting you into lunging in and great timing on the counter punches when you over commit. but when he fought Nate, he didn't lunge in and knew how to roll with punches to negate Conor's power.

Jacare is probably the most deserving to get a shot but I would love to see Bisping vs Hendo for pure nostalgia if nothing else, with Jacare gets winner of that match. Then there needs to be a Rockhold vs wiedmen 2 and the winner of that gets the next title shot, presumably against Jacare.

Hahaha watch Hendo KO Bisping exactly like he did the first time and with the follow up unnecessary hammer fist.
Then Hendo can retire a champ and Jacare then fights Rockhold or Weidman for the vacant title.

Jacrae is defintely the most deserving, has been for awhile now, but I agree with u, id like to see Bisping vs Hendo, wouldnt be suprised if hendo won

Jacares problems are 2 fold.
1) his strikeforce loss to rockhold. They entered ufc at Sametime and even tho rockhold was kod by juice up vitor they were basically climbing the rankings at the sametime. Jacares loss to Luke gave Luke that little bit of a nudge to get the title shot above Jacares.
2) he unfortunately wasn't healthy after his last fight. If he was he had the fight. Being healthy is a part of the game.

The problem with this is that right now Weidman and Rockhold are both coming off of losses and would not be deserving of fighting for the vacant title. Jacare and Romero are the only top fighters in that division with a win under them and Romero is coming off a suspension, so not exactly a great look to throw him directly into a title shot.
Give Jacare the title shot IMO and let the winner of Bisping/Jacare face a returning GSP. Rockhold gets the Vitor rematch he wanted and pair off Weidman and Romero and let the winner of those 2 fights meet up in a #1 contenders fight.

Dana regarding Hendo/Bisping:
"I know a lot of people want to see that fight, but there's so many guys that we would have to jump over to do that fight. But most of them are hurt. Jacare is hurt, Weidman's hurt, Rockhold just lost. So I wouldn't rule it out. He's saying win, lose or draw, if he fought Bisping in a title fight he would retire. But if wins the belt I highly doubt he would retire. I don't know, it's a tough one. I've questioned over the last year whether Henderson should still be fighting at 45, but it's hard to deny the guy when he's taking people out the way that he is"

I think MW is the most competitive divison. Its not as deep as some other divisions, but the top 5 are ridiculous. Bisping, Jacrae, Rockhold, Wediman, Romero.
