I know injuries and COVID have hurt us. But I also am wondering how the new deading of the ball is going to impact us... Obviously, it has, especially in this terrible stretch . ancillary guys like Ruf, Flores, who's value comes from that, I think he see a big dip. We are already seeing it. May not bode well for us given how dependent we are on the HR.

Also screw the person who coughed covid on this organization.

I'm not giving up hope on Bart yet. Way too early to make a judgement

Eh, he was drafted 2nd overall 4 years ago and is 25 years old. He has 157 MLB AB's across the last 3 seasons. I feel like he would've been showing signs of being a star player by now. At this point we have to hope he either brings us a decent return in a trade, or becomes an average starting catcher.

I think what is hurting us is not having 7 hitters having career years.
One thing I read is MLB jacked around with the balls they are a lot harder to go yard which seems to be our entire philosophy get walks and long balls.

Jomboy on the Rich Eisen Show said the 2021 balls were a mix of the old, more live balls and the newer dead balls because of supply chain issues related to the pandemic. this year, the league is using the newer, dead balls only.

I knew MLB buying Rawlings was going to become a sh*tshow. Baseball has metaphorically given itself a haircut, and keeps trying to cut more to fix the disaster, but just makes it worse. 🙄
Bore-acle Park.
Come on Bart, that was your chance for some redemption...
Finally Ruf gets one to fall in...needed that badly.
Ruf with his s**t defense again

This is what we deserve for not getting quality fielders or hitters during the offseason. Still lots of games left but the product is hard to watch right now.
