I would love it but he would be real costly at this point. I would offer them Bishop and Bart. That probably wouldnt be enough so I would throw in a guy like Hjelle as well. Reynolds is 26, an All Star, and controllable (not a FA until 2025).
lol the Giants would look like morons if we made that trade. Gave Pittsburgh Reynolds for a McCutchen rental, then had to trade our 2018 AND 2019 1st round picks, which went 2nd and 10th overall, just to get him back.
I'd do it in a second. Reynolds is a stud.
As far as the optics go. Zaidi didn't trade Reynolds away so there wouldn't be any criticism coming his way to reacquire him.
Until Bishop turns into a bigger star and we look dumb yet again.
Reynolds is a five tool stud. I'll take my chances with him.

Not sure why Pittsburgh would trade away Reynolds.
I thought we were acquiring pitching?

Except hitting isn't our problem. We lead the major leagues in HR, are 3rd in OPS, and 8th in runs. Trading 2 of our last four 1st round picks for Bryan Reynolds isn't a smart use of assets.

Did anyone know Brian Reynolds when he was in our system. Because I didn't

He was arguably our best prospect at the time he was traded. It was an incredibly weak system at the time, but he was well known.

I just checked the top 10 prospects for us back then and through two lists, he was slated between Chris Shaw and Sam Coonrod. And then Christian Aroyo and Chris Shaw
Meh
