Originally posted by CatchMaster80:Yes, didn't think of switching Arraez and Bader. May be even better. Bader is faster when/if he gets on base, while Arraez is the better contact hitter and could be driving guys already on bases or would provide better opportunity to prolong the inning.
That lineup could work. You might also want Arraez batting 5th with Bader batting leadoff. That way he coud drive in any runners on base. Bader is faster and might be better in the leadoff spot. My guess is we'll see a lot of experimenting at least at the start of the season. I wonder if any team would trade for Matos. They're out of options with Matos so he may just get released.

Has anyone gone to a Tokyo giants game?
if so, any etiquette to follow?
Never been to Tokyo but from what I've seen the fans at Japaneses games are pretty loud. They seem more engaged than fans at most American games who often appear more interersted in eating or checking their phone messages.

So in other words, you have no idea.

Just from the clips I've seen and a couple of games I saw when American teams went there. Be prepared to cheer a lot. Probably in Japanese.

The fans had chants for every player, even the foreign players.

How was the food? Was it all Japanese like noodles and tempura or did they have hot dogs and nachos as well?

It varies from team to team but Softbank had fried gyoza, yakisoba(fried noodles), karaage(chicken nuggets),and takoyaki at the games I went to. Basically the same kind of food you get at a local food stall out in town. They did have American style food like hotdogs and fries too, but they were not as good as MLB ballpark food imo. You are better off trying the Japanese food for the experience. Oh and of course there was alcohol but mainly local stuff like Asahi.
Side note: there was a Hard Rock Cafe right outside the stadium that we went to after the games and it was actually pretty good.
