Another hire to the staff.

The Giants are going to have a new fresh group of coaches. Not retreads or guys that have been hanging around the organization for a long time. No telling how it's going to work out but I'm glad to see them try something completely new since what they've been doing recently hasn't worked.

The Giants used to use the excuse that they were still paying for the stadium. That ended a few years ago. Now with the As effectively gone they have the entire Bay Area to thenselves so they should be drawing better than ever. They have no excuses other than they just don't want to spend the money to compete with the Dodgers.

There was a time when people that owned baseball teams made their money from them. That's not the case anymore. They're all billionaires that earn their money from other sources. When they buy a sports team it's either to make money when they sell the team or because they're sports fans and are doing it for enjoyment. If they aren't willing to spend enough to win then they shouldn't own a team.
