Ramos continuing with the shoddy D. He has to be near the bottom in D for LFs.

Making the adjustment to the majors is hard for most young hitters and even harder for tall ones. He's also spending a lot of time leqrning to play first base which takes time away from working on his hitting.

He's making good progress so hats off to him. He's still only 20 so let's not expect too much too soon. All the other prospects are 3 or 4 years older than him.

Have you watched him enough to know that him not being selective enough is what is leading to the strikeouts? Plate discipline isnt always the reason players do or do not strike out a lot.

He's lucky Melvin has no choice but to keep him in the lineup because of his bat.

Exactly, and this team already has a few guys for the DH spot so you can't really put him there much. Glad he's contributing on offense but his defense needs to improve.
Devers continues to make plays at 1B and show the position isn't that hard
2 run triple from Lee in garbage time. He's never clutch. Need to cut trade him asap. He's awful.

man. can't believe we sent JHL down to the minors.
Can Carson Seymour no longer be a part of this staff? And Bivens can go with him.
Randy is 2 of 5 in save situations now this year. Blew the win and a good Verlander start
Unbelievable. You come in with a one-run lead and you put two guys on without them hitting the ball? That's how you blow saves. Need to be much better than that, Rodriguez.

Frustrating game all around. Verlander is pitching better and tonight he looked good. This team has to get that win tonight, especially against a bad team like the Pirates. Although they're on a roll against the Giants lately.

Funny it is the absolute dregs of the league that will be the Giants undoing this year. What the championship teams who were not the world beaters themselves did was totally feasting on the dregs, especially their own division. That is how they've gotten into the playoffs when the pitching, defense, opportunistic offense and some luck took over.

Memo to Posey, add the closer to the Giants offseason wish list. Some guys could be a great 7th, 8th inning set up guys but not the closers.
I thought we traded doval?

One problem is that Verlander can't last more than 5 innings, forcing Melvin to stretch out the the already stretched out bullpen.

The closer role is shot at this point. Doesn't matter who closes since none of them have that closer mentality.
