lee said hold my beer

setting up the opportunity for blown save
Cant believe taking 2 out of 3 against the Pirates is something to celebrate, but what an improvement from last series!

And then Lee has the clutch hit, and clutch Dom drives him home. BOOM.

It was. Defense improved. They hit and ran with Lee. Dom has been clutch as hell. Ramos made a great baserunning decision yesterday that led to a run. They played well. If Randy doesn't blow the save its an easy sweep.
So they call up Gilbert now?

Smacks to bombs and says peace
From the offensive side of the ball:

- Dom Smith has been so clutch lately with RISP. And he's hitting .271 now.
- Lee has also been really good lately and is hitting .258. A lot of x-tra base hits.
- Koss actually has been good also. He was hot before he got hurt, now seems to really want to stay on the roster. .257
- Ramos has quietly had a stretch of almost 20 games getting on base. Average dropped to .274 but seeing the ball well.
- Adames has been really good also. Up to .232, but with 18 HRs now.
- I think offensively Schmitt has been a good surprise. He's cooled a little, but has had timely hits and showed power. .249
- Chapman needs to do more. Hitting .229. His defense has been amazing though.
- Devers is hitting .225 but everything he hits is over 100 mph velo. Just hitting them at people. When you have that much velo, its bound to turn around.
- Bailey struggled almost all year. But lately has had some really timely hits with RISP. And quietly raised his average to .213. That might not impress you, but considering he was riding at .170-.180 all year, thats a solid last month. And if you go back to previous years, he started off well then really sucked in the second half. So he must be in better shape this year.

Nice to see Lee hitting line drives again instead of those high popups. His swing seems to be a little flatter now. Bailey has slowly gotten better and has been good with RISP. Smith is looking like late night LaMont from a few years ago.

Encarnacion is just one of those guys that has a lot of potential but can't stay healthy long enough to develop it. Too bad. Poor guy may end up one day at some bar talking about how he could have been great if only.

Maybe. But I also saw Luciano was pulled from the lineup today.

Good point. Seems like the team is done with the Matos experiment for now.
Posey also opened up to the possibility of calling up red hot Eldridge. Could get interesting.
