Bad defense in the 9th did them in vs. a very bad team (looking at you, Ramos & Schmitt). And then the guy hitting under .200 drives in two to win the game.

What did I miss with Ramos?
What an awful 9th. Also Melvin leaving RR on the mound to die.

Overran Estrada's hit, ball bounced off his glove, and the lead runner Hilliard was able to make it from first to third & Estrada to second.

Misplayed Estrada's single to left which allowed him to advance to second which ended up being the winning run.

He was up to 40-something pitches. Unbelievable.

Ramos can look very suspect in LF sometimes. Not a great arm, either.
Last night and again today the Giants 2 best relievers struggled. I know the Giants and oother teams have complained about the falness of thre mound. I wonder if it had anything to do with it. Rodrigues had only 3 walks all season and today he couldn't find the strike zone.

You can never have enough runs at Coors field because even the Rockies can score. They had 8 last night and 5 in the first game of the series.

It wasnt an error. I suppose I can agree with you that it should have been a play that was made though.

For some reason, Estrada's hit was scored a double. That was a gift to not score that an error, which allowed the runners to be at second and third.
On to the Dodgers. Would really like to see the Giants step up and take two out of three. It's going to be tough without Chapman holding down third. Just have no confidence in Schmitt.
damn, 8 in a row woulda been sick

The Dodgers pitching is a mess right now so that gives the Giants a chance. Even the Giants weak hitters might be able to score against that pitching staff. Adames is heating up a little. Yaz is starting to hit again. Ramos continues to hit well. The Giants have a chance to take 2 of 3.

Glad some of the guys are starting to hit better. Hope it carries over from hitter-friendly Coors Field to Dodger Stadium. Really need Adames to continue what he's recently shown with the bat, especially with Chapman out.

What's a little more concerning is the defense with no Chapman. Not a fan of Schmitt and what he's shown but not a lot of options at 3B. Now is his chance, though, if there ever was one to finally show he can be consistently productive on both O & D. His D has been pretty good in the past but that was a crucial misplay yesterday in the 9th, perhaps costing them the game. You get at least one out there (maybe a double play, which would have ended it) and it's a very good chance at a W and sweep.
LA is a fake team, and their championships mean nothing to me. all bought and paid for, and i remember ppl cowering in fear of their spending, and as of this writing, they don't have as many wins as detroit. we beat them tonight and we have the same record. and that's with us having no offense all season.
