The moves Posey made might not have been big names, but they worked.

Another quality start from this staff - Webb pitched well! Nice win for this team.

Two potential CY candidates going at it and Webb does his thing.

That's the weakest part of his game. He has talent and his hitting has been fine but his base running and his fielding both need improvement. He's been picked of base more than once this year. His fielding is erratic. He's made some great diving catches on balls in front of him but seems to have trouble on balls he has to go back on. He takes poor routes to the ball. He also throws wildly and often misses the cutoff man or throws to the wrong base.
All of therse things can be corrected since they aren't physical. He should spend time talking to Yaz. He doesn't have the physical tools that Ramos has but he knows how to play. He positions himself well on fly balls. He has a strong accurate arm and knows where to go with the throw. His base running is usually very good. If Ramos can learn those things then he can become a very good player instead of just a good hitter.

He had 4 SO. Two against Ohtani and one each against Betts and Freeman. Not bad.

Good win, hope we trade for a bat at the deadline to keep us in contention

We all want another bat but where would we use it? Flores is handling the DH just fine. Maybe a LH DH. The outfield is set unless someone wants to unload a big time slugger. Smith looks to be an upgrade at first both at the plate and on defense. Third and short aren't going to need an upgrade. That leaves 2nd base and catcher. I doubt that they want to replace Baily behind the plate because of his ability to throw out runners and the way he handles pitchers. Second base would be the best place for an upgrade if they can find a guy that plays decent D, hits over .250 and has some power. Fitzgerald isn't providing much at the plate this year. I don't know if there are any upgrades available at that spot.
