the obsession is with you and sending Luciano down.

Just tired of reading the same thing over and over. But clearly that wasn't true.

I said he should be sent down if they aren't going to play him regularly. A young player with his potential needs to play to work out the rough edges. Surely you agree that sitting isn't going to help him. I don't mind sitting him for a couple days to clear his head but he's done that.

I don't know what their plan is once Ahmed comes back. If Wisely is still hitting well then he probably continues to play against right handed pitching. Where does that leave Marco? Personally wouldn't mind seeing him DH since Soler isn't hitting well. The problem is that won't help his fielding.

That's what you said lately. He was playing everyday and hitting .409 at the time and you still posted about sending him down. Just look at the last page.

I don't care if he gets sent down or not, just pointing out you clearly had an axe to grind and it was repetitive.

It was getting to be like the Belt sucks posts of the past.

Now he's hurt so it's likely a non issue.

I'm a huge fan of Luciano. I've never said he was a bust or that he sucked like some posters have. I have no axe to grind. I just comment on what i see and what others see. His fielding needs work and he's not going to get it if they don't intend on playing him. Whether it's in AAA or in the majors is their choice but it appears he may be able to get more time in Sacramento. As far as his hitting goes he looks a lot better there. Nine hits in 24 ABs for a.375 average. The only problem I have with his hitting is his lack of power production, both in SF and in AAA. One HR all season. He has 2 doubles with the Giants and a triple that was really a bloop single that was misplayed into a triple. It's surprising because he's shown power in the past. I mentioned in another post that I wondered if they were working on his swing to cut down on strikeouts which in turn may have caused the lack of HRs. He hits the ball hard but he's not elevating it.

His fielding and power stroke can all be worked out. It's just a question of where. AAA or SF. He's still only 22. I heard a reporter suggesting he move to first while Wade is out. I think that would be a bad idea and I doubt they are even considering it. Why mess with his head.

I dont recall me saying I dont watch the games lol

And ahh i forgot it was you. Steve was who said Omar vizquel wasnt even close to being the best defensive ss (i think it was him)

And regardless of if they said it literally every inning, I still find the fact that Lamonte Wade was #1 in those categories at this point in the season. It indeed is still trippy to me loll

It was me and I have been meaning to respond to your last reply to me....but I have been out of town up until Tuesday.

Meh. To each their own bruhduh
I wasn't watching baseball in the 80's so I'm a little bias

So you werent watching, you dont like most advanced statistics or metrics.....noted for future disagreements..

I wasn't alive in the 80's so I missed a few games

Understood. But Omar debuted in 1989 and played for 24 years. You had an opinion about him based on two main factors (gold gloves and fielding percentage), and I was attempting to provide some context to those factors....but you dont seem interested. Which is fine, I am not forcing you to listen. Just seems odd that you wanted to challenge me on my opinion and you seem unwilling to listen to reasons. It is what it is.

I will never understand why so-called Giants fans are rooting for our top prospect to fail.

My point was that 11 gold gloves and the best fielding % ever is a viable argument in regards to him "not even close" to being the best defensive ss ever. I don't care about the advanced analytics showing his range was average. When the ball was hit towards him, he was the best ever at fielding the ball there

I'm not rooting for him to fail. If you read my comments carefully you would see that I want him to succeed. The comments are about how the team should handle him. I've never rooted for any Giant or 49er to fail. Commenting on what a player needs to work on isn't rooting for him to fail.

People need to read more carefully instead of picking out one or two words in a statement.
Feel like there's too many conflicts in here right now

You guys have any facebook group pages you recommend/have used for tickets? I was shown a page recently but it seems so easy to scam people that I'm hesitant

Are tickets hard to get? They aren't selling out games like they used to. One thing I used to do was check with will call for cancellations. They nearly always had them. Season ticket holders sometimes make their seats available this way. You can land some prime seats even for big games. I got luxury box seats at the Stick once by doing this on a Friday night for a nearly sold out game.

Wow I never thought of calling the will call. And no, they're not hard. But I'm just tired of the fees when I'm buying online

I don't blame you. Prices are high enough. Give will call a try. I hope it still works. Good luck.
