he's a total klutz out there, it's shades of last years Giants

Hopefully he can figure it out (when healthy). Matos and Ramos are leaving him in the dust.

You do realize Luciano has had much less AB's than those 2 right?

no sarcasm on my part, been calling it for awhile now... injuries one of his many issues

Why wont you give me your scouting report on what you dont see in Luciano that you saw in Francisco Peguero? Id love to know.

Luciano needs some work that's for sure. I'd rather watch the other two at this point.
The injuries are concerning with Luciano. He's had hamstring injuries in the past plus a back injury. Not good for someone his age. He's been less than stellar at SS but his hitting has been okay. He's making contact and not striking out much. That's the good part.

If they aren't going to play Marco every day then they should send him back to AAA where he can get the work he needs on defense. He's already missed too much development time because of those injuries and the lost Covid season. He's still young enough that he can afford the rest of the season in Sac. Better than sitting on the bench and playing only against left handed pitching which seems to be the plan with the way Wisely is hitting.

my favorite part about the thread last night was the forum team doctors that immediately knew that wasn't an injury and he was being pulled for bad play. lmao

I don't think Melvin is the type of manager that would do that. If he thought Marco wasn't quick enough on that play he would have just talked to him in the dugout or after the game. It wasn't that big a deal.

Have not been impressed with Harrison. Low 90's fastball, erratic control and gets hit very hard

I said the same thing. Apparently his fastball is deceptive but I find his secondary pitches to be mediocre as hell.

He's 4-2 now with a 4.15 ERA, but last night when this was posted he was 4-1 with an ERA in the 3's. And he's on the giants, not the dodgers. Harrison throws a fastball as much as any pitcher in baseball, and when he misses, its usually up in the zone and those are the ones that get hit hard. He definitely needs to trust his other pitches more and keep hitters off balance, but for a young pitcher he is doing pretty good. He's going to get better with experience. s**t, the leadoff homer yesterday by Schwarber was a off speed pitch that hit the outside paint. It was kind of amazing that Schwarber was able to flip that oppo over the fence. It wasn't a bad pitch at all.

I'm not concerned about Harrison at all... he's having a typical year for a young but talented pitcher. He's not going to dominate every outing and the phillies are the 1 or 2 best teams in MLB.

I do, which is why his WAR isnt higher than it is.

he also had no HRs and 1 RBI... so all those stats are pretty empty. Matos ancillary numbers aren't as good but he had like 15 RBis in a few games

Yeah thats it.

Just because I believe in statistics doesnt mean I dont watch games.

Also, not sure Garce understands what "empty stats" mean.
