Snell always sucks March through June. We just have to hope this isn't a season where he sucks July through September too.

They really do need to fix the baseball offseason FA period. Boras has way too much power.
Thought there was a good chance for the W today & the series with Snell starting.

Still would be better to have some sort of deadline. Baseball isn't like basketball or football. They need spring training, especially the pitchers.

What happens to guys who aren't signed at the deadline, they just don't get to play? How exactly would this work?

Don't really know. Maybe they have to play on the QO if they got one.

Maybe that have some sort of Free agent spring training team so guys can ramp up in a controlled environment.

I don't think it was fair for the Giants and D backs to pay about market rate for at least 1 season of an elite pitcher but they have to wait about a month or more before that player is built up and has reps to get the impact they are paying for.

I know my ideas aren't the solution and there probably isn't one, but it kinda sucks.
Alex Camaro getting called up for the cubs, the dude we traded away for Kris Bryant
Damn the defense is just awful a lot of the time. Makes no sense

Well, the Giants pitching consistency right now consist of 2/5 of its pitching rotation and its hitting lineup is totally inconsistent from top to bottom. They'll erupt for 10 runs one out of 5-6 games, than meekly go into the night in the other 4-5. Especially if they'll fall behind by 3-4 runs right off the bat. That what happens when the team is the crappy, boring gutter for 2 years, basically 4-5 years with a year of miraculous aberration, the natives are totally restless, and there is enormous pressure on the management to improve the team. on paper they've improved the team, but two factors are in play:
Was the team improved how it should have been improved, or was it hastily improved for the sake of improved image.
And when the team improves from the total gutter, a significant improvement could only lead to the still average team, especially at the beginning of the season.
I am not giving up on the season because it is still so early, just worrying they'll get themselves into the hole that would be very hard to climb from.
Ayyy some clutch 2 out hitting by Lee and Flores
Bullpen time….time for a beer
Good comeback win
