Given that Ahmed has officially beaten out Luciano as the starter, I really think this could be our most underrated signing this offseason. Ahmed hit .355 over spring, swinging a hot bat. He's never been a prolific offensive player but his major issues has always been health. If he can stay on the field, hit .240ish and 10-15 HRs while playing GG quality defense, this will be one of the best signings of 2024, hands down
Luciano should be the every day shortstop. Ahmed cant hit, and hasnt been a gold glove caliber player in 5 years.
