I think the lineup goes as Lee goes

Perhaps Melvin is doing a bit of meritocracy. We have spring ball for a reason. Bart hit .414. Sabol .211. I think that decided it.

Speculation is they want to sneak him through waivers after everyone sets their rosters.

It will take Bart 3 seasons to do what Sabol did in one last year.

Oh I figured...I just think its a complete waste of time. Bailey is the catcher of the future. Tom Murphy is 4x the player Bart is. And Sabol is 3 x the player and can play in multiple positions and has a little speed.

  5. Lamont Wade Jr, 1B
  6. Michael Conforto, LF

  8. Luis Matos, RF
  9. Marco Luciano, SS

We made some massive upgrades this offseason, but still have Wade and Yaz in the 3 and 5 holes today.
Also, why the hell is Soler hitting in the 2 hole? SMH
Let's get to my 2024 BOLD PREDICTIONS ...again these are meant to be 100% factual predictions, I am an oracle and my word is god's word. Kneel before me.

BREAKOUT HITTER - JUNG HOO LEE
.290, 18 HRs, 70 RBI, 100+ Runs, 25 SBs
I have talked about him a long time and he was, outside Ohtani, my #1 target this offseason. This guy provides a big boost on defense with gold glove quality skills and he will be a table setter at the top of the lineup we have not had in a loooong time. Maybe since Angel Pagan? I think his power is a bit underrated and can easily see him being a 20/20 player.

The only issue is can he stay healthy? He picked up a couple minor injuries over spring, I hope he's not the type who is constantly dealing with tweaked hamstrings.

BREAKOUT PITCHER - JORDAN HICKS
140 ip, 150ks, Sub 3.6 ERA, 10 Wins
I don't think this will be your typical breakout, as I think it will be a stretch if Hicks goes for more than like 140 innings. But this guy is electric and has one of the best arms in all of baseball and converting him from the pen will turn out to be an extremely profitable and shrewd move for both parties. He will be must watch TV.

PITCHING MVP - LOGAN WEBB
200+ IP, 18 WINS, Sub 2.6 ERA, 200+ K
Enough said, not only does he win our team MVP, he wins the 2024 NL Cy Young. Our man from Rocklin has his banner year.
I said the same thing last year but he got off to a bit of a rough start, got no run support. Yet, he still finished 2nd in Cy voting. This is the year.

HITTING MVP - THE SOLER EXPRESS
.245, 32 HRS, 95 RBI
Jorge Soler is the power bat we desperately needed... he's not going to hit for a high average but he's going to hit them high and far. He finally breaks the 30 HR curse the Giants have suffered since Bonds.

ONE LAST THING - NICK AHMED
Given that Ahmed has officially beaten out Luciano as the starter, I really think this could be our most underrated signing this offseason. Ahmed hit .355 over spring, swinging a hot bat. He's never been a prolific offensive player but his major issues has always been health. If he can stay on the field, hit .240ish and 10-15 HRs while playing GG quality defense, this will be one of the best signings of 2024, hands down

RECORD - 93 WINS - Playoff Bound
This should be one of the better pitching and defensive teams in the league with two bonafide gold gloves added to the left side of the infield and a gold glove caliber defender roaming CF, the reigning Cy Young winner with the runner Up right behind him and oh ya...Former Cy Winner Robbie Ray coming in 2 months. The giants should be in almost every game and the additions to the offense should make this team much much much more fun to watch. More power, more speed. What's not to love about that? This team is built for October, absolutely nobody is going to want to see a team with this much pitching a defense.

Potential issues? What's this bullpen gonna do? It's anchored by Doval but there are a lot of question marks outside of that.

What are your guys' bold predictions?

Happy Opening Day Boys!!!!

Luciano should be the every day shortstop. Ahmed cant hit, and hasnt been a gold glove caliber player in 5 years.

We got the sinkerballer and the vacuum cleaners in Ahmed and Chap, then Bailey catching, that's a lot of pitching and defense

Luciano has not proven anything to deserve that.
