The Giants concentration on Ohtani sounds lie last year when they said they were after Judge. I hope they have a better backup plan than they did last year.

I am not getting my hopes up at all, but it would be insane if we got these guys. I remember being like 12 and i'd see "rumors" that we were getting vlad guerrero and i was going bananas to my friends lol. I bet kids are doing this to ohtani as well

I know they were trying to get Judge but they were wrong to put so much emphasis on him when the chances of actually landing him were small. I hope that having Bob Melvin as manager might help when it comes to convincing players to come to SF.
The stadium is a benefit when trying to recruit pitching but a lot of power hitters don't want to play there, especially left handed hitters. That could be a problem when trying to get Ohtani. He may not pitch for part of the 2024 season so they would be getting a left handed DH.
