Seeing the Dodgers get swept in 3 games is a nice compensation for the Giants crappy season.
I am extremely glad they were eliminated but it doesn't make me feel better about the giants. I invested a full season into watching s**t baseball, an average lineup, questionable/stupid lineups, and horrendous defense. Then ending in a manager firing and no idea who will replace him, not a huge FA market to fix the issues, and a GM who can't seem to land stars. The dodgers losing doesn't take that away.
Also, the dodgers seem committed to doing or spending whatever it takes to keep dominating the NL West. So all this does is likely make them more active in the offseason. If that is even possible.

How many yers have the Dodgers been spending big and not getting results. inning the division is meaningless when you spend like that. You expect to win the World Series. The big spending teams like the Dodgers, Yankees and Padres have two titles between them since 2000 and one was in the Dodgers was in the Covid shortened season. It'a not just about spending big. It's being smart about how you put the tem together. It appears that too many stars one team can be as bad as having none. The difference is that they may be more entertining during the season.
A team like the Giants could easily be a contender with one more solid starter and one or two bonafide stars in the lineup.
