My guess is it was mutual. Farhan felt he wanted an analytics guy and Bochy was too old school. Bochy knew he wouldn't be comfortable working with Farhan so they parted ways. Analyze that Farhan.

Yeah, that doesn't mean much. He is supposed to say that. I was merely saying if he is remotely available, thats the guy I would want. Not pulled out of thin air, it's actively being discussed in the media.

I am extremely glad they were eliminated but it doesn't make me feel better about the giants. I invested a full season into watching s**t baseball, an average lineup, questionable/stupid lineups, and horrendous defense. Then ending in a manager firing and no idea who will replace him, not a huge FA market to fix the issues, and a GM who can't seem to land stars. The dodgers losing doesn't take that away.

Also, the dodgers seem committed to doing or spending whatever it takes to keep dominating the NL West. So all this does is likely make them more active in the offseason. If that is even possible.
