Wotus would be cool for sure, but I think that only realistically happens if ownership forces FZ's hand. I think he might go with someone internal or someone he interviewed last time. Almost every single one of the folks FZ interviewed back in 2020 now have been promoted to manager. See KC/CHW for example. The only 2 that haven't yet is Venable and Espada from Houston. Joe Espada I could easily see since we have the Pete connection. But if it's up to me Donnie Ekker.
I like Ecker too, but I had to look him
up—didn't realize he was already connected to SF and Kapler. What does he have that Kap doesn't? Seems like another analytics guy. I do think him leaving SF hurt the Giants offensive production.
