I hate the metrics managing, but in fairness to Kapler, you can't use data for decisions with a lineup like he has. When Yaz is one of few LH you have, you have no choice but to bat him against a LH pitcher for example.
If Kapler is the fall guy in a year or two it will be a shame because this is 90% on Farhan. But GMs always seem to stick around and the blame goes to the manager.
why not fire em both; that is called the old clean slate, and may be what this team needs, I would like to see a totally different direction here from the top down
didnt he sign a 5 year deal in 19 thru 24? If so, I would give him that time. And at the end when its the same team, which it will be IMO, bye.
this was Giants chairman Greg Johnson last month…
"In fairness to Farhan, our policy is not to talk about contracts until things are done. But I can tell you that he is 100 percent here through the end of next season. We do have an option. If we don't extend him in the near (future) on a longer-term basis, which is what we plan to do, at the very least he'd be here through the end of (2024)."
