2026 San Francisco Giants Season Thread

LOL at everyone who thinks the stadium will be empty. The Giants drew nearly 2.5 million fans last season. That's a MLB average of more than 30K fans per game. The Giants were 12th best in terms of attendance. These are FACTS. Undeniable. Indisputable. This was the fan attendance result for a team that fell out of the division race before the All-Star break.

Let the lame excuses roll in. "But those were all Dodgers fans!" So? So what? The Dodgers aren't going anywhere, are they? Did they buy tickets? Yes they did.

Giants may or may not be done with free agent moves, but the fan base isn't going anywhere. That waterfront ballpark will not be empty on game days.

Thats PAID attendance in a season following a 107 win playoffs season. Fans who paid last year won't be making the that mistake this year. Anyone who watched the team last year knows they didn't average 30,000 butts in seats. Not even close.

You'd think they'd learn after Jon Heyman basically ruined the Giants fans day lol.

there's a rumor floating around that the big thing the Yanks might be working on is a Tatis trade with SD. i think it's more likely the signing of Rodon.

I heard some of the interview. He said it was total speculation on his part.

So fkn sick of the influence of social media when it comes to this stuff. These reporters should just shut the fck up until something is finalized.

And lol at the Giants averaging 30,000 fans at home games last year

Eventually I could see that happening. I don't think Tatis wants to be an outfielder.

LOL all you want. Numbers don't lie. Giants don't lie about paid attendance. No matter how much you want to believe in stolen elections. Or, how season ticket holders will magically vanish next season.

What's up with all the political references? There's a separate thread for that. Jfc.

Billbird are you serious right now? Do you honestly think owners DONT have a problem with the empty stadium in spite of how many tickets were actually sold?

It's a problem. Period.

Its kind of crazy how you keep referencing paid attendance and ignore when people are pointing out the obvious. Season tix are sold in advance of the year. Giants won 107 games the year prior, people were excited so they paid for tix. As the season progressed and the giants were clearly not the same team, and they lacked any real stars worthy of watching outside Webb and Rodon (who don't play everyday), excitement dwindled. Season tix holders stop going their selves and start selling to recoup money they spent, which happens every year. You can tell by the pics posted in this thread, giants fans weren't buying them. They did sell tix to games when good teams came to town like the dodgers. But then its the other teams fans in the stadium, which really hasn't been the case in previous years. But when regular teams were in town, nobody is buying them and the seats are empty. Again, like the pics posted. And season tix holders are losing money.

Fast forward a year, fans are looking at the players the giants add and decide if they want to buy again. It really isn't smart to buy them if you know you cant sell them when you don't go. So if this team remains the same as it looks now, you won't see paid attendance quite like that. (And a lot of paid attendance is companies buying tix to give away throughout the year.)

Paid attendance was fine. But its a big difference between fans that actually attended the game. As you can see by the pics. And the most obvious...if you actually watched the games on tv like people are pointing out you would have seen a huge decline in actual attendance. We all saw it. We talked about it during the season. Farhan himself addressed it last year when talking about adding players in the offseason. You have to field a product people want to watch.

I'm not sure why you keep making silly political comments that have nothing to do with the giants.
