Saw some stat saying the Nets big 3 are averaging 24 points in the 4th. Thats insane if true.

With 1/3rd of the season done - here's my top 5 MVP candidates so far:

1. Embiid
2a. Jokic
2b. Lebron
4. Kawhi
5. Durant

Only case against Embiid so far is - already missed 5 games. Voters may see 12+ missed games as too many. Same case with Durant (plus he now has another top 7 player and a top 15-20 player on the roster - that makes it tough to win).

Lebron has the narrative on his side so far and hasn't missed a game. Numbers are still 25 - 7 - 7 in career low minutes.

Kawhi and Clippers are playing great and he wasn't part of that 50pt loss to the Mavs.

Jokic is slowly becoming a favorite to win it all imho. Ridiculous numbers and Denver is starting to win games. If Denver ends up as top 2 seed - Jokic will have a great chance imho - if his numbers hold up.

Yea man...said it before - Durant - Kyrie - Harden are too great to not make it work on offense. Nets offense is ridiculous. Never seen anything like that. Just unstoppable. None can be doubled and all 3 can shoot 3, mid, and are great in the paint.

Durant would have to continue putting up close to historic numbers to be considered. I cant see his numbers staying where they are, but who knows. I like Jokic to win it. Lebron has no business on this list, but I am aware of who I am replying to.

^"Rules" that apply to others don't apply to Lebron. Absurd that link has him as the MVP frontrunner. Absolutely absurd.

I don't personally think he should be favorite - I think Embiid and Jokic should be - but it's silly to think he's not in top 5. His advance stats numbers has been ridiculous on both ends.

I do agree that rules apply to him differently though. Should have had at least 6 MVPs already but voters get tired.
He definitely should have gotten more votes than Derrick Rose (worst MVP of my lifetime). But that MVP should have gone to Dwight Howard anyway.

Those sites clearly dont watch basketball cause Lebron has done nothing to overtake Embiid or Jokic in the least 2 weeks. Just Lebron hype

I think missed games will hurt Embiid in the end if he doesn't play at least 60 - and I think Jokic is quickly becoming a favorite.

Do think Embiid is still the MVP so far.
Lebron is literally as fast on the court now as he was his rookie year.

Love this lakers team when they lock in on defense. Holy s**t...what a f**king stretch at the end of 3rd Q for a 15-0
run.
