LeBron cries about every foul. He dominates an era of pace and space step back shooters. If he was playing in an era where everyone was ultra physical, he isn't standing out nearly as much.

That's just comically naive. There wasn't anybody as big and fast and strong as lebron in any era. He is an amazing specimen of an athlete. Imagine the damage he couldn't have dished out with the old rules.

And for the record, I'm not a lebron guy. But let's not fool ourselves into thinking he's some powderpuff player like a lot of players today.

Yup. These guys know.
Bron would absolutely be better in the 80s and 90s. Imagine if Lebron was allowed to handcheck defenders lool. And him playing in an era where zone defense wasn't allowed? Yea good luck with that s**t.

What players were 6'8 260 lbs? And if there were they didnt have anywhere near the athleticism of Bron.

I totally understand saying MJ is the goat, same here. But to try and say Bron would've been less physical and dominant against smaller players is just beyond ridiculous. Trolling or ignorance is the only choice here. I dont believe at all that you watched that era.

Im not saying LeBron would've been just be some scrub in the 80's, im just saying he wouldn't be the player people call the GOAT.

He would've been exactly that. You obviously dont understand that era at all if that's what you think. Magic was 220 lbs at 6,8. And no where near the athlete Bron was. Kareem was 240 Lbs...Lebron at that size and athleticism would've been way more dominant than today. On defense he would've been DPOY every year.

You have no clue what you are talking about or just trolling.
He wouldn't be 260 in 1980. Strength and weight conditioning programs weren't as advanced. You can't look at it as we're just going to magically transport him into the era and allow only him to have today's advances.

But rest assured he'd be amongst the league's best back then.

How did Karl Malone do it? Quit acting like you know how his genetics would have been

What does genetics have to do with working out a bit harder? You dont think guys like Curry or Durant take advantage of todays training? Why aren't they as big as Bron? Is Zion this much faster and bigger bc he works out that much more than everyone else?

Bron came into league at like 240+ lbs,at 17...Hes not a product of better training regiments. Hes one of the few atheltes on this planet that are built that way.

lol only you could take a pure hypothetical, treat it like a cold hard fact, and then use it to insult people.

Like I said, if LeBron had been born in 1960, he wouldn't have been brought up with the same training regiment and sports medicine technology that he has used to craft his body into this machine. He also tries to model so much of what he does after Michael Jordan, who obviously wouldn't have been an influence if he was playing in the 80's. With his body type, power, and shooting ability, he would've been coached to be similar to Karl Malone.

If he was from that era, he also would've been playing most or all of his career in the city that drafted him, so he wouldn't be crafting super teams or hopping around to wherever would give him the best chances at titles. Mark Price to LeBron James would've been a classic combo, but its not winning titles.

if you're going to go the alternate reality route, you have to adjust for all the circumstances. You cant just drop 2012 LeBron James in the 80's and leave it at that.

"Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James reportedly spends $1.5 million on his body every year. The two-time NBA MVP is known to follow a strict workout routine only four days a week while maintaining a diet of healthy food."

LeBron's fitness and health routine is well known. Saying "He was just born like this" is absurd. He puts an
unreal amount of time, energy, and money into the most advanced training technology available. He has access to information and advancements that just didn't exist 30+ years ago.

It's not working out a bit harder it's advancements in nutrition and that starts a long time before pros. See combine numbers. Every single era is bigger, stronger and faster than the last but LeBron isn't going to be the same freak that he was if he born in the 70's and played in the 90's. He'd still be the best athlete like is today and yeah he is a natural freak but he would be smaller and slower. To deny that is foolish.

Like someone mentioned. There's no guarantee that he's a point forward if he played in MJ's days. That was a concept that was just being developed back then. LeBron might have an entirely different skill set. You still have to bet on his natural abilities though which would shine in any era.

Lebron is too much of a self centered prick to be the goat. Getting multiple coaches fired, players cut, traded, making demands, changing teams, getting free agent stars to help him, whining to the commissioner to have players suspended, kissing china's ass and just overall an organization killer.

I used to agree with organization killed, but he came back and saved the Cavs, and then he came to the team I root for and actually saved that organization. Lakers were on there way to nowhere.

Young2Rice, that statement is what's annoying. That literally doesn't have anything to do with how good of a basketball player he is. And y'all hold that argument against him as to why Jordan is better.

GOAT is limited to players you've seen. Chamberlain, Russel, Big O, Zeke, are just names that the young fans have never seen.
