Just called. Guy asked why. I said Sling is cheaper and no CBS is a problem. He said OK, please hold on. Came back 5 mins later and said cancellation of service has been processed. Never even attempted to offer anything. What a joke.

Called back to try and get the loyalty area some have posted about but only got a standard rep. Asked why I wasn't offered anything and that I would stay if they offered me the same deal my neighbor got last week (the $60 with free Ticket some have mentioned). Told them without CBS I can't watch football.

They refused to give me Ticket but offered the $60. I said no and then see looked up my local CBS and flat out lied and said my local CBS has a deal and will be back next week. I still have friends in the media and a few work at that CBS station. I know for a fact there is no deal so I called her on it. She said I was lying and could only get the discount price with no Ticket.

I cancelled and will be going to one of the streaming options. ATT destroyed that company.

That's just completely messed up. I do agree with you on AT&T ruining the company. I switched to AT&T for cell service and I've called them several times trying to get some help and no-one ever wants to help. They just basically say, "no, can't help you." I always hang up pissed. So far, Direct has been good to me. I have been a customer for 15 years, don't know that it matters or not but everyone has been very easy to work with there. I usually call during the week too. This may not make a difference either but I've called on the weekend and during the week. Seems like on the weekend they only have a skeleton crew working and no-one can do anything, but when I call during the week I get more help.

Yeah, no clue. Been with them 5 years straight right now and 4 other years over the past dozen so 9 of past 12 total. I'm done for good though. I hate ATT.

I'm just hoping they lose exclusive Sunday Ticket next year. Ticket is a must for me being out of market.

A buddy told me about streaming the games on reddit. I did it last year for 2 games and it worked good. Didn't know if you've tried it but it could ease the switch from Direct so you can still watch the games.

I do the same also from reddit. Streams are easy to find.

Tough to beat that imho.

I'm about to cancel my DTV. I called a year ago and they only offered $10 off a month.

Call now. I called them last July and told them I'm leaving bc they canceled BeIN. They gave me $60 off for 12 months and free HBO for a year and I already had free NFL ticket. I called again this June that I'm leaving bc the discounts have expired and I'm not paying so much money when I can get the same thing for half. They renewed the same discounts for another year and I got free NFL Sunday ticket and HBO for another year.

Call them now and tell them that they canceled some channels and that's why you gotta leave. Tell them you're going to dish network or sling tv and will be paying a lot less. That's their direct competition.

How do watch La Liga games? I had to get Fubotv

You can pay $10 a month to get all BeIN channels on sling tv. Don't have to get anything. Just sign up for world sports package standalone for $10. I sign up for it during the la liga season.

Thanks 4ML. I have been paying $54.0 a month to Fubotv so I can watch the BeIN channels.

I almost signed up for Fubo too last year. Then saw it on sling and couldn't believe it. So worth it. I got it with dvr so now I can catch almost all the good ones.

I've been on Vue as well the last three years. Quality service indeed
I go from direct tv to spectrum once a year. Spectrum has great promos for the first year or first 6 months. Last year i had cable and internet for 100$ bundled. Then i switch back to direct tv once them promo ends, its 120$ for internet and cable. Since its a 2 year contract with direct tv and the promo only lasts a year, just tell them you're moving. Google cities that dont offer direct tv.

I am thinking about switching. Hoping for Comcast to bring back BeIN, but I doubt it.

This. That's what I have. Love the interface as well. Also you can hand out "family" accounts. Gave two of my friends accounts for free.
