The Shark Tank 🦈

I know a lot of Sharks fans, even before we let Pavs go, do not like Doug Wilson. But he's done an amazing job of replenishing this team with young talent while also trading picks to acquire veterans to keep us competitive.

He's one of the best in the business and continues to prove it.

I agree. I have always felt he gets way too much crap at times. DW is not perfect, no one is. However, he has consistently been one of the best in the league and I have yet at any point seen any reason enough for us to have someone else try to fill his shoes.

Since the 2003-04 season to present, Sharks have the highest win % in the regular season. So yeah, he's top 10 for sure.

Doug Wilson, Doug Armstrong (Dallas/Blues), Jim Rutherford (Pitt), Steve Yzerman (TB), George McPhee (Washington; Vegas), Brian MacLellan (Washington) and Lou Lamoriello (NJ, Tor, NYI), Stan Bowman (Chicago).

He just needs that cup to solidify him, I hope Thornton re-signs and they do it together.

We'll get a chance to see who the next future superstars may be. Let's hope several of them light it up.
Couples articles on two top prospects, one forward, and one defensemen who could make the jump as early as this year (some video highlights included too):

Good post, OTC.

Speaking of prospects. Only one of ours got into the top 50 prospects per the athletic.

RHD Ryan Merkley, 18

Supposedly the deal with him is he is highly talented Offensive player but not a great defender yet. And also a bit of a polarizing person in the lockeroom.

Someone to keep an eye on.

He was a first round pick I believe last year.

yup, dropped during the draft and was a potential top 10 pick but had attitude issues and focused way more on offense than d. His vision and play making is near NHL level if not and playing him in the OHL is pretty much a waste since he seems to get bored is just more talented. His size being skinny is part of the reason he probably wont get a look anytime soon

I know man, but he had his chance. We need a youth movement bad. This team is always getting out skated b/c of our previous older core. I think we can be just as good this year without Pavs.
Got a Marleau black jersey for $37 on EBay.
