Lakers/Celtics game last night was part of the "Players Only" telecast....Good god I don't know if anyone else has had to be put through a full game of those guys rambling on about nothing, but that is a terrible idea. I actually didn't mind Grant Hill at all he has a ton of good insight..But Caron Butler doing the interviews and Brent Barry carrying to play by play is unbearable. I had to mute

When shaq and Kenny and Charles did it, it was much cooler.
They did it during twolves game recently and my god it was horrible, they spend more time joking about each other than talking about the game

Brent Barry spent most of his time making a joke about 'tough juice' - which he then nicknamed Caron..that was real fun

Tough juice has been caron butlers nickname for a long time

Among guards in the NBA, Wade is 29th in Defensive Real Plus Minus, 133rd in Defensive Rating and 104th in Defensive Win Shares.

Among forwards in the NBA, Green is 154th in Defensive Real Plus Minus, 155th in Defensive Rating and 108th in Defensive Win Shares.

Among centers in the NBA, Thompson is 71st in Defensive Real Plus Minus, 93rd in Defensive Rating and 83rd in Defensive Win Shares.

All of these "plus defenders" you think that will solve the Cavs defensive woes arent statistically good defenders. Sorry man, the Cavs have far too many average to bad to terrible defensive players on their roster. How you shuffle them into starting or bench positions isnt going to matter.

What's Kyrie's numbers in those same stats? I know the norm was that he was always a terrible defender but I think his defensive numbers this season are way better..

Kyrie among guards in the NBA this year: 126th in Defensive Real Plus Minus, 30th in Defensive Rating and 6th in Defensive Win Shares

Kyrie among guards in the NBA last year: 144th in Defensive Real Plus Minus, 108th in Defensive Rating and 82nd in Defensive Win Shares

No question Kyrie is playing better defense this year. Whether he improved or this is just a reflection of always playing with other plus defenders is up for debate. But it is not debatable that he is playing defense at a higher level this year.

I'd love it if Kevin Love finally just snapped, went full Kyrie and said "f**k you guys, I'm out!"

He's the designated pinata on that team and constantly seems to catch far more than his fair share of flack.

"Errrybody messin up? Blame Love!"

Yup, I'd be fed up if I was him.

After stuff like this, I'd be like "yeah I dont need to be here anymore."

[blocked URL]

He's the second highest paid player on the team,so he should get at the very least 2nd most blame.

No one is going to call out Lebron, so next up is the $22m salary guy that has been relegated to being a role player on offense and is a liability on defense.

LOL @ how easily the spurs were scoring on pick and rolls defended by Love and IT.

Why do you think the NBA making money off gambling will make it rigged? I'd think the 1% cut will partially pay to make sure its not rigged.

Thanks SWH. Yeah it has definitely looked as if he was playing better but I wasn't sure if the numbers showed what the eyes saw. I'm actually shocked he is 6th in DWS. But you're also right in that the Celtics team as a whole, plays very good defense so I'd imagine they have a number of players ranked rather high which of course will help Kyrie, especially since he is a perimeter defender with plenty of help behind him. Good info, thanks.

While I don't think it is, it's not a good look for the league.

What do you think is going to get more gambling action: Celtics vs Lakers in the Finals or Thunder vs Hornets? This will give those who think it's already rigged a more valid reasoning, and it may convince those who are unsure, that it is.

Congrats to Lebron!

FTFY. He's 4th fastest behind Wilt, Jordan and Kareem.
