2016-2017 NBA FINALS: Cavs v. Warriors

Thats a retarded argument. Jordan and Kobe spent the entire primes of their careers playing for Phil Jackson. If they had left their teams mid prime and grabbed a couple superstar friends to go play with elsewhere, they wouldve taken other coaches to the Finals.

Around the league Spoelstra is known as one of the very best. He just got no credit because of LeBron.

Phil left shortly after Shaq when Kobe was still in his prime and he didn't do a damn thing in that season. It wasn't until Phil came back to when Kobe won again...hmmm Kobe missed 16 games but they didn't even win 40 games that year Kobe damn sure hasn't don't anything significant after Phil...

Everyone says the East is so weak yet Spoelstra hasn't done anything significant in that weak East without LeBron...absolutely nothing worth talking about but he missed the playoffs twice in 3 years...in the weak East

As for the fanboy comment.. well you are pretty obsessed with Lebron. You arent even a fan of a team but only of James.

Considering Cavs won game 3 and 6 wire to wire with Draymond in the lineup and Game 7 on the road - you've to be super biased to say Cavs had no chance in game 5 with Draymond. Makes no sense.

Lebron haters are more obsessed with Lebron than his fans. And not sure why you're obsessed with who I root for. That's just weird and no reason to talk like a teenager.

Lol. Is this still going on? Who's winning?

Let John win - don't want him lose his confidence.

These finals can start about now.

Do you think Cavs and Warriors will have more competition or less?

It's not a trick question.

All that sounds good but then and now you always had about 5 teams with a real shot to win the chip. Nothings changed despite the addition of expansion teams. The way guys are flocking to the larger markets and/or chasing rings you'll still have stacked teams to where it seems there's no competition. There's good competition but when guys join forces other folks don't stand the same chance at winning

Riley agrees with this as pertaining to Spoelstra. I won't forget that LeBron went to MIA to learn to be a winner from Riley Wade and Spoelstra. He seems to have learned well

He is a damn fine coach

The NBA is a star driven league even moreso than the NFL. Scheme won't trump talent oftentimes in the NBA. You better get you a stud and ride him to the chip because without one you're up against it

I hear what you're saying but look at the biggest market in the NBA, the New York Knicks, also the richest by the way. They haven't won anything since 1973. I don't see any top 10 players flocking to MSG. LeBron is the only one to pull off a Big Three in this era, and he's done it with two different teams.

He didn't go there to learn from Spoelstra. He went there because DWade was there and Riley was there and it was South Beach. It obvious he didn't care so much for Spoelstra at the beginning who knew nothing about winning by the way. Riley and Wade were the reasons for LeBron heading south. Since LeBron has left, Miami hasn't been relevant at all. And again I point out, if the East is so weak, why can't the Heat get to the playoffs? They have talent, especially for a "weak" conference yet 2 of 3 years their season ended once the clock struck 0:00 on the 82nd game

Amare and Carmelo who was top ten at the time and Deron Williams in his prime shunned his hometown DAL and Dirk and Rick Carlisle to go to Brooklyn. These guys were chasing spotlight and not wins. They had better options if they'd prioritized winning. It doesn't take much to lure guys to NYC or LA or MIA if you can show the least amount of competency. As a matter of fact I wanted LeBron to go to Knicks in 2010 because had he become the King of new York there's no telling how rich he'd be. But he chased a chip in MIA which worked out for him long term

We know Spoelstra wasn't the draw but LeBron has admitted he learned from him as well. We all know it was Riley and MIA has always been in the playoffs when they've had a healthy Wade. Now that they don't have that guy they're a near miss just this past year. Keep watching though. MIA will get back to the postseason
