I love the SEC hate. Shower it on me.
It's because Arkansas and Vandy acting like Bama's accomplishments are worth celebrating is hilarious.
Arkansas is home to arguably the greatest track program in all of collegiate athletics. It has continuously been in contention for a National Championship in Baseball and its long dormant Basketball program has awaken from the ashes. Hell, the women's Basketball and Soccer teams are pretty good. Now, I freely admit back home they really only want a title in Football, but to short change them as nothing more than Bama fanboys misses the point entirely.
Speaking of football, unlike Michigan, which should not have been in the playoff, Arkansas only lost to Bama by 7 and put a s**tton of yards on Bama.
As for Vandy, I am not an alum, but while they are not a great football school, as far as Baseball goes, Vanderbilt is a fine program.
And lastly, you misunderstand why we cheer for the SEC. We want to be
Bama. We want to
beat BAMA. I see others cheering for their conferences and it seems to be okay, but if I or we do it, we are wrong. Let's be clear, I also think it is a regional thing. Southerners need to prove continuously that they are better--is it always true? Of course not, but in College Football? They make a compelling case.
Pathetic and weak explanations do not make you an expert on why fans from other fan bases do what they do. Why not get educated? Why not learn why it matters so much? Eh?
