China talking hella s**t about Australia
"An op-ed in China's Global Times tabloid, which is closely linked with the Communist Party, said: "We think Australia should feel embarrassed with Horton's remarks. … We don't know if it is Horton who is silly or it's the Australian media that is evil, or perhaps Australia just has a different moral standard. The message sent is abnormal and aberrant."
"It's not a big deal to us. In many serious essays written by Westerners, Australia is mentioned as a country at the fringes of civilization," the op-ed continued. "In some cases, they refer to the country's early history as Britain's offshore prison. This suggests that no one should be surprised at uncivilized acts emanating from the country."

And all our guy did was tell the truth about this swimmer who IS a convicted doper.
Wow. China must be concerned.
Can anyone tell me why the olympics has allowed a whole bunch of convicted drug cheats to compete?
China? Russia?
Australia and the USA or any country for that matter are not squeaky clean either but the systematic doping and proven convictions need to be upheld.
Otherwise just say take whatever you want and create roid robots and be done with it.

Lilly King: Those with doping histories shouldn't be on team
After claiming gold in the women's 100-meter breaststroke and conquering her new nemesis, Yulia Efimova, U.S. swimmer Lilly King took aim at all Olympians who have been caught doping -- including her fellow Americans.
The 19-year-old from Indiana was asked about fellow American and 2004 gold medalist Justin Gatlin, who has twice been suspended for doping but will be competing in track and field at the Rio Games.
She'll probably take heat for this, but...

Can't wait for the upcoming Boomers v Dream Team.
The Aussies have beaten highly regarded France and Serbia..........but are about to get some schooling.
Should at least be entertaining.

nah, I agree. You cheat and you miss the next olympics.
But China apparently has a ton of conspiracy theories for why they don't win gold in every event, lol

Because it's an Olympic sport - the game has grown so much around the World. It's good for the game.
I do think US should only send young players. Like college players and NBA rookies and sophomores.
It is good to see that the NBA has broken the stereotype that NBA players can't shoot. That's all because of the Euro game displaying how important the outside shot is over the dunk. Proud of the NBA to improve its game. This is why I don't think the NBA is watered down.
