Chip's offense won't always go 'hurry up', but they almost always go 'no huddle'. The difference being that no huddle is just that, not huddling. It doesn't mean they are in a rush to snap the ball quickly after getting lined up. When Chip slows it down, he'll no huddle but the offense will stand around, wait for the defense to line up, then call a play that best takes advantage what they are seeing from the defense.

When they go hurry up is when they go no huddle and quickly snap the ball after getting lined up.

I don't think there's much of an adjustment that has to be made from Hayne. He's still just running plays like he always has been. If anything, things got simpler now. Chip will call a lot of the same plays throughout any one particular game. He rarely asks for the RB to stay in and block on passing plays. He has 4-5 run plays that get dressed up with different formations. Chip does call more inside zone run plays than what the 49ers did last season. Last season the 49ers were more about outside zone.

Chip is all about getting a mathematical advantage over the defence and getting the defensive line to anticipate the play and overreact. The Offensive linemen have to ask themselves only two questions. Am I covered or am I am I not. If covered his job is to push the defender back as far as he can. If not he has to step toward the play,. This is what Hayne will have to be looking for when playing RB and it will shape the play. Once he gets the hang of it, it will be much simpler.

Chip will work them harder in training by drilling them on the plays over and over and over again. They will be doing the same play 100 times a week until it is muscle memory.

Hayne will take to it like a duck to water. There is no doubt Hayne will work better under Chip and everyone will be in the same boat over summer training in that they will have to learn the new regime. Hayne will be fine.

So inside zone has more running backs recieving from what I can tell. Making the first man miss in space is where I think he can contribute most for good yardage gain. Harris is another one with good feet. Will he be a stronger option? Draft class has some good options too. I read that Chip likes to use three tail backs.

Yeah I hope that when he is listed on the team that we can breathe a sigh of relief. Some are already starting to say chip is ruthless and has no time for projects. I would like to think he is smarter than that.

Someone has to worry. He just got back from chasing the sun. His natural ability better shine this year or all the hand wringing will be for naught.

The cards have signed that afl guy as a corner back. He is only 24. At least some of the spotlight might be shared this year and take pressure off Hayne.

He was in South Africa the other day celebrating his birthday. He was wearing a wildlife t-shirt, so I guess he has been training with Cheetahs to increase his speed.
