How do you think us Warriors felt for years? But, we watched, we hung in there, and we prayed for good drafts. And now.. its fun. You have been spoiled for years with the Lakers success and I get it that its difficult now for you to watch. But support your team man!

Showing my age here, but I was watching the Warriors before, during, and long, long after their championship in 1975. So many hopes shattered, but I hung in there because I've loved the team forever...far enough back to when the were known as the San Francisco Warriors. Laker fans (if you are true fans) have to do the same...it's just the way it is.

It's tough for Laker fans, so good for so long but a lot of work has to be done. We've all been there with the Niners lol.
Hell, this year was the first year I bought LP just so I can ensure I watched as much of this young contingent of men and Kobe's farewell tour.

It's the dark times that make you appreciate the good. Outside of the Smush-Kwame years, we really haven't had dark times in almost 20 years.

I watched every minute of every game of those years on LP. Haven't missed a game since 04. lol

At least in those years Kobe was in his prime and was a f**king maniac on the court. Nobody else was worth a s**t, but it was fun as hell watching him play. These down years are just awful. They have about 2 and a half quarters in them of decent play. Sometimes it's early. Some times in the middle. And every once in a while it's at the end. Just have to hope we're close enough at the end that we have a chance to win. And that's still a maybe. lol

I look at sport differently now than I did when I was younger. To me its entertainment if the product is bad and un-watchable I am not entertained so I find other ways to get entertained. I dont watch boring/bad basketball to me its not entertaining. I still rep the team I wear my Lakers hat and t shirts but Im not gonna waste 3 hours watching crappy basketball. To each their own I guess.

Truth. Sometimes I still think watching Kobe was most fun during those years. He was a maniac. Evil. Demented. Hellbent. Relentless.

It was a thing of beauty. To this day, it's those individual performances that make basketball such a fun and unique sport (and addicting, really). It's a combination of ridiculousness in a back and forth chess match with little interruption to the flow where one guy, I repeat, ONE GUY can single-handedly bend the game to his will and change the result by himself. It's f**king beautiful.

Fanhood is a weird thing. I don't get why people like to label or question how much of a fan of a billion dollar corporation that doesn't give a f**k about your existence you are. No one questions my allegiance to Trader Joe's lol. It's a unique thing about sports.

But you're sus so you're just kind of f**ked in this regard. Hopefully, you'll come back to watching great Laker basketball in a couple years. I hope it only takes a couple more years...

Pretty sure there's somebody out there that would indeed question your allegiance to trader joe's if you were spouting off online about how it sucks now and you do your shopping at whole foods. lol

I think I worded that incorrectly. I mean, how often do people even have strong affiliations or allegiances with big corporations the way we do with our sports teams? Even though the two are the same in premise and model.

I think it's actually quite common. Like I don't wear nike. Only Adidas. If somebody gave me anything Nike, I'd never wear it and give it away. I only drive Chevy vehicles. I didn't even want to get a GMC Yukon when I was shopping for a new ride. Had to be a Chevy Tahoe. Basically the same exact vehicle, but because of the branding, I wouldn't buy one of those. Only the Chevy. So it is kind of common, but I get what you're saying.
