Sorry for the late fixture & tip tally posting. Fellas!

I had a personal pet/family tragedy last Wednesday, that kept me away from the forum... I stopped in to put up the fixtures & put in my tips, but that was about it.

Cheers, Neo.

It's amazing how much dogs/pets become a part of the family... A week & a bit on I'm starting to come to terms with it, normal interests are starting to return (I'll be up for the Bunnies v Tigers tonight) ... There is just an empty feeling not having one of my boys around. (Had two dogs, now only have one )

~~~PS~~~
If any of you guys have a dog that gets a mysterious stomach pain, you might want to get an ultrasound done. I took my dog into the vet 3 weeks ago with one.
They kept him overnight, did a physical exam, x-rays & blood-work. Everything came back negative & he was released the next day. He was down the day after, but was back to his normal healthy self 2 days on. It appeared to be little more than a strained/pulled muscle.
Fast forward 3 weeks & he is hit by it again. This time though, by the time I get him to the vet he can't stand on his back legs. I asked the vet "How bad is this & do they come in much worse?" he says "He has seen much worse." It made me feel better as I left the clinic to wait at home for the prognosis. 2 - 2 & 1/2 hours later the vet calls & he needs emergency surgery, 5 - 6 hours later he calls again & they've lost him on the operating table.
I was in shock, heartbroken. I just couldn't wrap my head around how he went from healthy & energetic to dead.
Sorry to hear that sports, we were lucky enough to save our Lab after a scare a few years ago.
I was poking about in the shed and yard and noticed her standing, looking a bit odd and very slight muscle tremor. Quick look around the yard turned up a packet of snail bait. It had been sitting on a shelf in the shed unopened and claimed to have child and pet deterent. Didn't stop our lab who will eat anything she had managed to open the pack and eat most of it. Couldn't raise the vet in town so tried to get as much salt water into her as I could to get her vomiting without much luck.
Wife managed to get onto the vet in a nearby town, by this stage she had start to convulse heavily, a very quick 20km drive and I carried her straight from the car to the operating table. They got hoses in both ends of her and irrigated managing to flush her fairly well. After that it is just a case of dealing with the symptoms like very high temp and the convulsions as their is no antidote.
Vet said about 30g is enough to kill a large dog and she had eaten most of a kg bag, you have about 30min window from ingestion as once it has made its way from the gut to intestines it is usually to late and the damage has been done. She had a small amount that had made it into the intestines so we made it with minutes to spare.
Family and employees are all OK, seems like they were among the few to keep their heads and were aware of what was actually happening as it unfolded.
Said the police seemed to be in as much shock as most of the bystanders after it unfolded, the oldest of the victims was the closest to them. They managed to get her lying down, comfortable, calm her, cut away the slacks she was wearing and stem the bleeding from her leg wound while brother had the sense to run to the nearby doctors surgery to get medical help before emergency responders arrived.
No worries sporto, all the best! We had a favourite pet dog a little fox terrier crossbreed, bloody intelligent, and had the biggest mates who waited for him at the front gate. Conan my dog would look up at us and stare out thru the window begging for us to let him out to go play, we did many a times but someme down the road had it in for us and ran him over. Definitely was not an accident.
Glad everything turned out well 2twenty.
