They all had a bad year, Rabbits... It's as simple as that, none of the Australian teams deserved to be anywhere near the final.

Stripper speaks out, alleges Chiefs players inappropriately touched her

The stripper at the centre of the Chiefs' Mad Monday celebrations alleges players touched her between her legs "very forcefully" and that she kicked a player to get him to stop.

More of the story...

Police confirm contact with Chiefs stripper

A second stripper came forward with an almost identical story on Friday, saying the Chiefs mistreated her at last year's function.

Disappointing behaviour.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen says 'Mad Monday' celebrations should be kicked into touch

"We should kick them to touch, we don't need them," Hansen said of the end-of-season partying which has become known as "Mad Monday".

Steve might be onto something if the lads can't be responsible.

Ugly story the finish the season & not the perfect lead up to the RC.

Brumbies and Wallabies player Christian Lealiifano diagnosed with Leukaemia

Christian Lealiifano has been diagnosed with Leukaemia.

The Brumbies and Wallabies player had been suffering from a brief illness, according to information released on the Super Rugby club's Twitter feed, before the serious condition was identified.

My thoughts go out to him... Hopefully he makes a full recovery.
2016 - Super Rugby Final

Hurricanes v Lions

Live Updates

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
0: 00 - Kickoff
(Note / Go Hurricanes... Do it for Victor & Cory)
11mins - Penalty Hurricanes, Barrett scores / Adv HUR - 3/0
(Note / Hurricanes laying the wood on defence... Lions with most of the attack)
21mins - Try Hurricanes, Cory Jane intercepted a bad kick / Barrett converts / Adv HUR - 10/0
25mins - Penalty Lions, Jantjies scores / Adv HUR - 10/3
40:00 - Half Time - Hurricanes lead Lions - 10/3
(Note / Hurricanes are their own worst enemy so far, making mistake after mistake with ball in hand & kicking away too much possession)
(Note / Lions have had the bulk of the attacking ball, but haven't really looked like scoring... With the exception of one scrum, they have been dominant in that area)
51mins - Penalty Hurricanes, Barrett score / Adv HUR - 13/3
68mins - Try Hurricanes, Barrett scores from a Lions mistake / Barrett converts / Adv HUR - 20/3
80:00 - Full Time - Hurricanes defeat Lions - 20/3
WELL DONE HURRICANES, 2016 CHAMPIONS!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Game Rating - 8/10

It was a tough night for attacking rugby due to the conditions, but both teams tried their hardest anyway. Lots of mistakes were made in attack, however it was the Hurricanes defence once again that was the star of the night conceding only three points to a high scoring Lions side.

The game finished with the Hurricanes forcing a turnover via penalty due to the Lions not releasing. It was the perfect way to finish the season as this championship was won on defence. The Hurricanes have not conceded a try throughout the final series.

Defence wins championships as they say & the Hurricanes defence might just be one of the best I've ever seen.
