was a great fullback for the broncs, he reminds me of hayne the way he made people miss, soft hands and he is approx 1 inch shorter than hayne. Represented Qld and Australia was a brilliant fullback.

Imo he's not the player he used to be, solid SR player, but not really test calibre. He looked like he could be something special when he first came over & was playing in France for a season before heading to AFL. If memory serves me correct he was playing at the five-eighth position & was excelling there. Unfortunately when he returned to rugby after a couple of years in the AFL wilderness he just wasn't the same guy.

Drug issue aside, he seems to have lost his spark & I haven't seen it since tbh. I doubt at his age he will get it back, he went from a fearless (kamikaze) fullback with a touch of x-factor in RL to a solid does the basics well fullback in his 2nd stint in RU.

I don't particularly look to him when he's playing as somebody who will break the game open or provide some magic to lift his team. I see him as just a role player within a team.

The injury to Beale has no doubt forced Cheika's hand a little & I think Hunt benefitted from that, I have a feeling the Wallabies want to continue exploring with Folau at centre. Dane Haylett-Petty & Karmichael with be trialled at FB.

There are so many great attacking fullbacks in world rugby right now, who are always looking to initiate the counter & create something for themselves or others. I just don't see much of that in Hunt anymore.

This is what I like to see from my fullbacks...
Wallabies gonna lose with that squad.

Yep he certainly is older and has lost some flair, but in his day he would flog hogg and hayne.

Cheika has certainly brought in the beef with this squad to combat England's supposed physical approach (if Eddie is to be believed). There are a number of players though for who fitness / stamina might be an issue.

Tbh 4x4, it is almost too long ago for me to remember. I do however remember him as very brave, maybe even a little reckless. I mean he had the nickname "Kamikaze" for a reason, he was never afraid to bring the ball back into the teeth of the defence.

However in this situation I'd take Hogg & Hayne easily over him in his prime. I don't actually remember Hunt creating the same opportunities for his team at the back as those two do/did. I tend to remember him more smashing into players rather than linking up with teammates on the counter.
WK - 14 - Tips

K didnt have the impact in his last couple of seasons as a fullback in the nrl as when he first entered. I thought he was going to start the move to 6 when he up and left for the suns. What a horrible move that was. Still, i hope he makes his mark with the wallabies.

Game Rating - 10/10

Brilliant intensity & skill in incredibly difficult wet conditions. Fantastic game that was deadlocked at 78th minute & won in the 79th.

Ardie Savea put in a mammoth display & there is strong talk floating around that he may be named in the All Black squad on Sunday. It's looking likely that pulling out of the New Zealand Sevens squad will prove to be the correct decision.

Game Rating - 6/10

A dominant performance in front of their home crowd sees the Waratahs stay atop of the Australian conference. The Chiefs meanwhile may lose the top spot in the New Zealand conference if the Crusaders win tomorrow.

The game reflected the contrast of the teams on the night. The Waratahs were rampant on attack & very accurate around the field while the Chiefs struggled with the basics. Goal kicking was particularly woeful from the Chiefs.

waratahs focussing on winning the next three otherwise theyre out of contention if they lose just 1.
I caught the final moments of the Jaguares @ Kings game... Apparently they were winning, but received 2 red cards & ended up losing in the final 10 minutes... Seriously dumb stuff from the Argentines. (1YC / 2nd YC = Red & Another RC... Lol)

Tahs looked really impressive at home 4x4... Your boy Guildford is in pretty good form too.

Also June is nearly here, 4x4... That means the mid year Test break, All Blacks get named Sunday 10am (NZ time, I assume). AUS v ENG, RSA v IRE & ARG v FRA, it's going to be great.

Hope Ardie makes the ABs.
Here's that Sopoaga chip kick.

I think Carlos Spencer might have done something similar while playing in England?
