Your argument is terrible. Tomas not making the opening day roster has NO bearing on his status as a prospect. It means AZ isnt in a hurry to thrown him into the fire, just like the Dodgers werent in a hurry with Puig.
The Giants wasted 60 mil. on Aaron Rowand, and that was 7 years ago. 68 mil for a prospect like Tomas is not a bad use of money for the risk/reward.
