We have had a middle weight and a super middle weight boxing champ within the last 20 years that were Mayweather's age. I won't mention older guys in higher weight classes as speed is the first to go and power is the last so the guys in the larger weight classes can be competitive an older age than the smaller guys. I do realize father time is undefeated, yet for a professional boxer I would consider Mayweather to be a very young 40, he isn't 41 and won't be till next year. He will be having his 50th pro fight more than 20 years after his first, his fights have been well spaced out, and as most know he is the master of not taking punishment.
