Mayweather vs. McGregor

McGregor went 10 rounds in boxing. I'd like to see Maywether last more 30 secs in the octagon, before he gets his head kicked in. You boxing aficionados need to stop. You know damn well McGregor did a decent job. And you know damn well any boxer would absolutely get destroyed in an mma bout.

Conor is a legend. He goes into another sport vs an all time great and is good enough to compete. All you people bashing him are losers who will accomplish nothing but feeding your own jealousy. Great match tonight, only wish we could see them in a fight next that would be awesome.

It was always going to be an interesting event. Certainly gained a worldwide audience who were eager to see what would unfold.
At the end of the day the favourite prevailed in a battle that diddn't really provide the crowd with a loser. Mayweather won the fight.as he should.
MacGreggor won the respect of the doubters for lasting as long as he did,given his forte doesn't arm him for a drawn out affair. Sport was the winner. Good stuff

Would McGregor fight Floyd at 1/10th of his UFC salary? White will grab a 45 year old boxer who looks like Fridge Perry because that's all he can afford. I give credit McGregor for hanging and getting a fight out of Floyd but you can't blame boxing that MMA doesn't pay. These guys are all businessmen and UFC's monopoly on their sport just leads to smaller paydays.

Whether it was the Zuffa owned UFC or the current WME-IMG ownership, both could afford any willing fighter if they want them. Their pockets are that deep.

If Floyd wanted to fight Conor in the octagon, the fight would have still sold just as much as them stepping in a boxing ring. And the UFC would have been willing to offer Floyd a very similar financial deal if not the same deal because the UFC would still turn a large profit and gain from the publicity this generated.

The people who lost are the ones that paid for this.
