The 2024-25 Phoenix Suns Thread

Imagining a timeline where Sarver gets indicted for fraud, has to sell the team back to Jerry Colangelo, the Suns draft Doncic instead of potato Ayton and don't pay Indiana to take TJ Warren who is now their leading scorer.

Fix is in for the Hawks in Atlanta tonight. All calls have gone Hawks way in the 4th, and now Booker ejected for turning and uttering something after he dunked the ball before turning back up court, lol.

That's the worst ejection I've seen since Duncan got booted for laughing on the bench.

When you get smacked around in all game by the Atlanta Hawks, an ejection is the least of the issues. Booker keeps looking more and more like he is fed up with everything. He's said he is committed to Phoenix but everyone has a breaking point.


It'd be hard to blame him too, this has to be the dumbest team in basketball. They spent the better part of a decade rebuilding and have next to nothing to show for it. In a really sad way that is kind of impressive.

Suns crush the Knicks in the Garden, 121-98. Ayton with 26 pts on 15 shots and collects 21 boards in the effort. Booker led in scoring with 29. Rubio with 25 and 13 dimes.

Game was over at that point, but yeah. Smooth pass and smooth finish. Plays like that show you why he was touted as the #1 pick coming out of the draft. You see other stuff that make you shake your head, but he's still just a kid at 21. Too much pressure being put on top picks to come in and save a franchise from the get-go. He needs time to learn and mature.

Imagine a team giving away a young player in the prime of his career, not just giving him away but PAYING his new team to take him only for him to come back and light you up a few months later.

It looks bad having traded Warren to the Pacers for cash, especially since he could have been our much needed scoring punch off the bench, but we did it so we could re-sign Oubre and have money to go after a FA point guard. Both those things got accomplished. As much as I love Warren's game, it was either him or Oubre, and I think keeping Oubre was the right choice. He's a more well rounded player.

It wasn't a pretty game last night. Pacers were getting away with hacking our guys all game while we were picking up cheap fouls on the other end. Ayton regressed after getting into foul trouble and looked like a rookie again after putting up 25/14 in the previous 4 games.

Why this team is significantly better on the road than at home is mystifying.

They didn't trade him for cash, they actually gave the Pacers picks to take him.

They had the Suns in a bind. Had we gotten the #2 pick, we still have Warren, Oubre, Morant instead of Rubio, and maybe Holmes as well. That's the downside to draft lotteries. If you're a bottom 3 team and end up with the number 6 pick, that's just s**tty luck, and obviously you can't go back to the trade deadline and trade Warren when his value would have been much higher. Are GM's supposed to have foresight into how lottery balls get sucked up?
