lol! I went 0-3 on my big game picks
For the record, the only 2 games I bet on were Boise State and Florida State covering, and lost both of those too

Rough week.
New 3 big game picks
1. No. 15 USC at No. 11 Stanford, 12:30 PM PST, ABC
USC Notes: USC predictably trashed Fresno State. USC is a young offense, with the TE as the only starting senior, and only 3 starting seniors on D. Their front 7 only had 1 sack and 2 other TFL against Fresno State, while giving up several big run plays. Last year USC was able to stun Stanford in an upset loss and has the talent to repeat it.
Stanford Notes: Stanford boasts a veteran squad, with no starting freshman and only 1 starting sophmore. Stanford's offense should be much improved over last year as Hogan has a year of experience under him and Ty Montgomery is looking like a stud (already with a PR for a TD). Defensively though I'd expect a step back as their front 7 likely won't be as dangerous this year due to the off-season losses.
Pick: Stanford is currently favored by 2.5. I'm picking Stanford to cover. USC just has too young of a team to go to Stanford and pull off the upset.
2. No. 8 Michigan State at No. 3 Oregon, 3:30PM PST, Fox
Michigan State Notes: In case you've missed it, the Spartans have had an elite best run D for 3 years. However they had to replace 4 of their front 7 players. Offensively they are solid, good enough to win but not in a shootout.
Oregon Notes: 9 returning starters on one of the most feared offenses. Black Mamba is gone but in his place are more complete RBs. Defensively they are solid with 2 top level playmakers in the secondary.
Pick: Oregon is favored by a whopping 12.5. I'm going with Michigan State to cover.
3. Michigan at No. 17 Notre Dame, 4:30PM PST, NBC
Michigan Notes: Devin Gardner 2.0? No QB has more potential for growth than Gardner who has a rocket arm but was wildly inconsistent last year. Surrounding him is a questionable offensive line and marginal talent outside of 6-5 WR/TE Funchess.
Notre Dame: This is the first real test for the Irish, who had high expectations entering the year before the academic fraud scandal. Everet Golson 2.0? Like Gardner, Golson is a talented weapon at QB but whether he can make the next step is a big unknown. The game has special meaning as it will be the last game in their yearly rivalry.
Pick: Notre Dame is favored by -4.5, I'm going with Michigan. Notre Dame gave up some big pass plays against Rice which Notre Dame said was due to poor communication. I think this is a huge test for Gardner, and my guess is he passes.
