RJ Bell ‏@RJinVegas Next #Lakers coach: Calipari, Thibodeau, Ollie 4/1; Fisher, S. Van Gundy, B. Scott 8/1; Kerr, Karl, 10/1 - via sportsbook.ag

If Ollie wants to leave UConn already and get to the NBA he will get the job. If not, I look for Byron Scott to be their next HC.

lol...last time Karl made it to the finals, i don't even think Kobe was in the league. on top of that he had a great team, with Kemp / Payton as the stars. also at his age and all the stuff he's been through there's no way he would be able to handle LA.

and Scott made the finals twice in like his first year of coaching after inheriting a great team (if compared to the rest of the teams in the east during those years). he got swept and lost decisively against the Spurs. plus, what has he done since?

only guy that the Lakers should even consider out of those 3 is Hollins, he's done a great job with the team he was given, it would be interesting to see what he could do if he had a proven scorer on his team.

Rumor is UCONN will double his salary to $2.5 million if he stays.

These hos ain't loyal

Right. They are pretty likely to hire a HC who wanted Jerry West banned from his practices.

And the Lakers can double that doubled salary if he goes.

No Van gundy's. Karl seems like a good fit, or they can always get Showtime back

The lakers could and should.
If the Lakers get Mark Jackson get ready for being a solid team on both sides of the ball but you will notice a lot of isos and killer turnovers.

Mark Jackson doesn't make a team solid on both sides of the ball. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, David Lee, Andre Iguodala, Andrew Bogut, Draymond Green, etc. do that.

But gotta give him some credit for making sure Klay Thomson and Draymond Green focus on defense. Even Curry's defense has improved every year since Jackson became the head-coach.
