somebody school me on this, the draft lottery only determines the top 3 picks and thereafter the order is determined by worst record?

Oops. ur right

The lottery process determines the first three picks of the draft. The rest of the first-round draft order is in reverse order of the win-loss record for the remaining teams, or the teams who originally held the lottery rights if they were traded. The lottery does not determine the draft order in the subsequent rounds of the draft.

I'm just not a fan of players calling themselves superstars. The truly humble ones don't. Durant doesn't, Paul doesn't, our good friends Patrick Willis/Justin Smith/Frank Gore don't, etc. Nor will I ever respect the motives of someone who complains about the officiating after a win. Not saying Rose is a bad guy or anything, just that now I don't think he's as humble/as all about winning as he was previously made out to be.

Fair point and even I agree it was out of character for him and didn't necessarily like it. But I do believe it was mostly out of frustration and to take that one statement and turn it into he's not as humble or caring about winning only is unfair. Each of those guys believe they're superstars and Rose being reigning MVP only confirms his rise to superstar level. One slip up, and I do think its a minor one, should not all of sudden change his reputation. Also, I don't agree that you can't complain about officiating even after victories since bad calls can affect the outcome of games. Complaining after a loss can make you sound like a sore loser, and after just about every loss, Rose puts it on himself.

I see you noted my comment in the Warriors thread. See we aren't so bad off as long as we lose enough games (and with no Curry or Bogut, we sure should).

well I still don't understand it all that well, so not sure, nevermind the fact that I don't believe in the concept of professional athletes purposely losing games

Man I wish Warriors got Gerald Wallace

"@WojYahooNBA: Nets are close to sending Mehmet Okur, Shawne Williams and a protected 1st round pick to Portland for Gerald Wallace, league sources tell Y!"

Curry
Thompson
Wallace
Lee
Bogut
Would be pretty nice starting 5

what year is that protected pick? WTF are the nets doing?
Adrian Wojnarowski ‏ @WojYahooNBA
The Rockets will send Jonny Flynn and Hasheem Thabeet to the Blazers, source tells Y! Sports.
For Marcus Campy
