Mayweather vs Ortiz September 17th

I hate PBF but what he did was legal. And wtf did ortiz keep looking at the ref after the first punch. Protect yourself at all times.

Sure, it was legal, but as far as boxing etiquette goes...made Mayweather look like a punk.

Didn't read through the last dozen pages, but I'm still pissed off at what happened. Biggest waste of money ever. Two fights that ended in controversy. And Mayweather still running his mouth.

Well, I didn't pay for it LOL but my uncle did, and he NEVER pays for events. First time he ever did, it screws him over like that. I felt bad.

Ortiz made the first move in throwing boxing etiquette out the window in this fight. That headbutt was so obviously deliberate, that it pissed Floyd off. He was still mad after they touched gloves and even pushed him away as he went in for a kiss. It's Ortiz' bad for not protecting himself. You don't walk up and kiss a rattlesnake when his rattler is rattlin'.

then for ortiz to say the headbutt was an "accident" that he "didn't mean to" in the post fight interview is just pathetic. Man up, say you got a little too excited and launched your head into his face. Then, accept the fact that you didn't protect yourself as you should have and got caught. No harm, no foul.

love him or hate him, PBF brings in the PPV buys every time. I wonder what percentage of people buy his fights in hopes of seeing him get his ass beat? You gotta admit, it was entertaining at the least.

Ortiz frustrated for Mayweather going through the motions and head butted. Realizing he's not supposed to win the fight in the first place and also gave a dirty shot, he hugged and kissed Mayweather to apologize. Then after that we all seen what happened with the un-protected shots.

For a warrior to have that killer instinct to go as far as to head butt your opponent then in a few seconds to feel sorry and actually kiss the other guy is unbelievable.

Agreed. More people order/watch for him to lose and he knows it. I'm not happy with the end result but blame Victor for starting it with the deliberate headbutt. I don't really wanna see a re-match. PFB was schooling him from the start. Let's hope it's Manny next.

In no way am I defending Ortiz at all. I think what both fighters did was pathetic, and to have it end that way was a spit in the face of all boxing fans. Both fighters should be ashamed, but let's face it, those two guys don't give a s**t. They just made millions of dollars.

And you're right about Mayweather bringing in the money. I watch just to see him get hurt. Unfortunately, we haven't seen anyone come close to it (except when Mosley rocked him for a second.)
