Not yet. Dave Checketts jumped the gun. But they're close, from what I understand. Stern has a conference call this evening with the owners, so it won't end before then.

Apparently the owners made a significant concession last night, which led to both sides being very close today. Let's hope that egos don't get in the way.

Kill it Jordan! Kill it like you killed Clyde and the Blazers in the '92 Finals!

I was reading something that the union will have to sell this to the players too, and there is some thought that they won't agree to it.

The same thing's true on the owner's side. Stern initially wanted a consensus on whatever CBA was agreed to, but it looks like he'll only get 16 or 17 votes if the deal looks anything like the way it does now. This is gonna get done by the smallest of margins if it does in fact get ratified.

Stern just finished his phone call to the owners, and they will be delivering a revised offer to the players tonight. But it's based off of the current negotiations, and won't be the "ultimatum" offer that he threatened.
I think this gets done tomorrow.

The revised proposal indeed is based on current negotiated deal points, not the reset proposal threatened if talks broke down.

Hunter won't say whether he would accept this deal or not. Wants to get players into New York Monday or Tuesday and see what they want.
