Andrei Kirilenko is excited to take rookie Gordon Hayward under his wing.
"He's gonna make the same way that I did it 10 years ago," said Kirilenko. "So, you know, I wish him good luck, and I'll try to help him as much as possible.
"He can shoot the ball well, which has never been my strong side. So, he kind of gets a little advantage (there)," the small forward from Russia joked. "But he needs to keeping working, needs to not be afraid of names in the NBA and other teams — just keep playing basketball."

Awesome, I'm glad Ak has tried to put the trade talk behind him and has focused on mentoring the rook.

"Deron Williams said on Saturday, "I hate the Lakers."
"They’re so good. I hate them because they win all the time," said Williams. "We definitely talk about it. It’s not a secret. We hate the Lakers."

Sloan is not close to naming his starting lineup as the Jazz prepare for Thursday’s preseason opener against Portland at EnergySolutions Arena. Even with Memo Okur sidelined after Achilles tendon surgery — and with Al Jefferson and Williams almost certain to start — Sloan has options at power forward, small forward and shooting guard.
He could start Paul Millsap or Kirilenko at power forward, Kirilenko or C.J. Miles at small forward and Miles or Raja Bell at shooting guard.
“It’s always tough; we’re still working,” Kirilenko said. “But in the starting lineup or off the bench, I don’t care.” Millsap has made 49 starts in four seasons as Boozer’s backup. With Boozer in Chicago, he sounds interested in starting. “I don’t know, man,” Millsap said. “Hopefully I’ll get a chance to showcase my skills at a starting position. … But you just have to sit back and wait. Everything is not in stone right now so I have to sit back on it.”
With CJ struggling and nursing a hurt wrist I'd say the starting lineup will be D-Will, Bell, AK, Millsap, and Jefferson

No offense MT, because I don't mind the Jazz..but the Jazz are always that team to me that I always forget about..I dunno..just something about Utah...and Jazz...just doesn't have a good NBA vibe to it..I'm sure you can say the same about Orlando..Magic..and thats fair as well. But in the West I always catch myself going "Oh s**t..the Jazz are right there too"..when looking at the standings..same goes w/ the Bucks in the East..
But again, no offense..just what always pops in my head when I think of the Jazz.
