bad joke?.....

No it was 1 to 0, then the Goalfest started.

It is raining Goalllllllllllllllllllllllllls. I was thinking that North Korea would play a little tougher. I guess the excitment of being in the World Cup and starting with Brasil is over. Brasil vs. Portugal will be a match worth watching from a skill and style point of view. I also predict Ivory Coast will lose to North Korea. Any thoughts on this.

i really hope NK beats IC. NK at least plays with honor.

That is why I said I think they will beat the Ivory Coast. It will be a matter of honour match for them. We already know, and the Ivory Coast has already showed the world that they have none.

Listening to Bob Ley butcher the Portuguese names was pretty funny too lol "And here comes marryles and simeao" hahaha my family is going crazy! What a result!! Granted it's NK but still, that's an impressive scoreline in the WC.

So disappointed. We may have just ruined our chance to make it to the knock-out stage. Well, thats what Lippi gets for depriving the team of true scorers and stacking it up with everyone from Juventus. Oh and btw...Gilardino is a waste.

We're still in a somewhat-decent position to advance. We play Slovakia, so we'll get a win there. And if Paraguay beats New Zealand, or ties, then we move on with that win.

@ your confidence after below average performances in the first two games

It's not how you start, it's how you finish. And you do know Italy is notorious for below average group play, right?

this. vrabbit, you should know better than to underestimate Italy.

Key Word: should

Im not worried about anything, Italy will advance.

I agree, Italy will advance. Pirlo started full training today and will be back, which should help a lot.

However, it doesn't matter much. They will get the Dutch in the first round most likely and just aren't up to that level.

I know everyone always says don't count Italy out, but I really don't see them hanging with any of the top teams this year. Oh well. I really don't like the team Lippi put together.

I know his team he put together is horribly questionabl;e with a lack of scoring and playmaking. I hated how he built his team. maybe Buffon comes back to help after group play

I really like Chile
wow. a red card for that? MAYBE a yellow, since maybe he was swinging his elbows carelessly...but a straight red? IDK man. I think this ref has been way too involved in this game.

Horrible call, no question.

I think the refs have been WAY to involved in the WC....its almost as ridiculous as FIFA not banning the vuvuzelas that is such an African tradition since 2001

the refs are WAY more ridiculous than the vuvuzelas. People need to get over the vuvuzela. It doesn't matter where they originated or when, the fact is that the people in South Africa like to blow them during soccer matches, and these soccer matches are being played in South Africa. Should FIFA ban singing at a World Cup in England because fans elsewhere find the songs distasteful?

True, the matches are being played in South Africa, but it's the WORLD CUP with a global audience. The bottom line is reason enough.

Besides, do we even know if the fans at the stadiums -- South African or not -- are OK with them? It only takes a few a*****es to make a lot of noise.

And now the f**king things are coming to baseball.

who knows what the fans at the stadium think? but they're still going to the games...

its the "world cup" sure, i get that, but the fact is that the vuvuzela, like it or not, is one of the signature things of this world cup. if every tournament was supposed to be exactly the same, then they wouldn't hold it in different places.
