if anything happens toward the deadline it would be going after a dman. our d and possibly nabby is gonna be our achilles heel.

I agree. We BADLY need a special defender. Blake and Boyle are great -- but after them, the drop-off is significant. Murray and Vlasic I hope will come along and get their feet under them with more game time, but Huskins and Demers.. I just don't know. Maybe Callahan will be better?
I just don't know.. I hope we don't get owned by Anaheim.

I think the biggest thing is for everyone not to completely freak the f**k out. lol
Yea we looked pretty bad tonight, but remember there was a lot of new faces and they still need to gel and get comfortable with each players playing style sand know what and what not to do.
I think we will be fine. There is still 81 more games to go.

reflecting
Nabby wasnt that bad, but the D really screwed him over on a couple goals.
demers looked ok, he could develop into something this season as well
heatly = -3 on the night

But yeah.. It's just very disappointing getting all excited and then getting blown out on opening night. We had a LOT of scoring chances, but a lot of bad bounces simply not going our way.
It's hard not to get all upset, but I know we'll calm down after sleeping on it and a day passes. Ah.. Hopefully we pull it all together eventually.

other top western teams lost their openers its not the end of the world. pickles need to take the next step into being a top dman the organization thinks he can become. i also dont want to end up killing boyle and blake and have them gassed out come playoffs.

Hopefully tomorrow we come out firing on all cylinders and smoke the Ducks. But I'm not getting my hopes up. I thought we could handle Colorado, but we just look way too shaky. I sense a great deal of inconsistency early on until we learn to play together as a team with the new faces.
