Amazing how dominant Cain looks without fastball Molina behind the plate. He's taking the Cubs to school today.
Ya.. I'm sure the reason for Cain's problems has all been Benji Molina. Get a clue.
Molina doesnt throw the pitches and isnt responsible for making the final call on what pitch is thrown. That is on the pitcher.
Perhap the reason he could dominate today might have something to do with:
No Derrick Lee, No Alfonso Soriano. No Geovany Soto, and No Milton Bradley. The lineup the Cubs put out there wasnt exactly the 1929 New York Yankees.
Are you sure about that because a pitcher doesn't spend the whole game shaking off his catcher for another sign. At most with Molina, Cain will shake him off two or three times. So other wise Molina does get final call on most of the pitches thrown.
With Whiteside he simply mixes up the pitches better than Molina, why you simply Ignore this I can't understand.
a catcher never makes the final call on a pitch.
Of course the catcher never has the final call, but Cain's showing faith in Molina to call the majority of the pitches.
