I gotta admit, I really didn't think they could open up New Yankee Stadium worse than the Mets opened Citi Field, I guess I was wrong....

You would think that with the money they have spent to assemble that roster they might have had the wisdom to pick up some quality middle relievers.
This team better pray that CC, Burnett, and Rivera stay healthy all year. Otherwise.. 3rd place and out of the playoffs again.

Of course they're not making the playoffs again, buying "names" every year doesn't mean a championship,we see it every year with the Redskins and the Cowboys, and have been seeing it with this baseball team the past few years.

What? The pitched a bad outing. The bullpen isn't bad at all. They were the best in baseball last year. The problem is they decided not to carry a long reliever. They'll fix that.

Once again you dont check your stats when it comes to your beloved Yankees. First you claim that the Yanks always beat Beckett and then I showed that he had a 7-4 career mark not including when he dominated them in the WS.
Now you claim that the Yankees had the best pen last year in all of baseball. Well... here are the REAL facts:
The Yankees had the 7th best era from their BP - not first. In fact they were only 3rd in their own division. Remember also that Jaba was in the pen for much of the year and pitched 30 games in relief with a 2.31 era.
This was a big improvement from previous years but again Jaba was a big part of that. Take a look at their BP's success and remember that they have the best closer ever. I would say that their middle relief and set up guys have been mediocre at best:
2009 24th so far
2008 7th
2007 22nd
2006 16th
2005 21st
2004 21st
You can think the Yanks are solid in the pen but the numbers just do not bear that out.
